Medkitty's fur is light shades of green, and their shiny see-through spots are red, leaning a bit towards pink. Their gloves, hat, and bandages are all white
Creme's outer layer is a very dark brown, and their inner layer is white. Their eyes and mouth are also a dark brown, with their pupils, claws, and the inside of their tail mouth being white.
Whoot's feathers are the colors of a common barn owl. Their pupils are yellow.
Furrigid was planned to have a VERY similar color palette as kp's Shimo. Honestly, I don't know if I'd change anything.
Something I feel like gets overlooked is the fact that Kawaii Shorks are sorta implied to be Pseudo Shorks, just without any reason to hide what they truly are
I always assumed that, based on kawaii's bestiary entry, they were actually part of the shork family unlike pseudo shorks, who are dolphins.
To me the two are different specimens (with especially different looks), just with similar behaviors (kawaii shorks pretending to be friendly raytraxes for their own gain, pseudo shorks pretending to be friendly humans for their own gain).
So in a sense, yeah! They are basically the same thing (bait&switch), but in different practices, which is neat

The lead developer, yuka, was kicked from the kp development team for drawing nsfw of multiple 13-14 year olds. The devs have stalked someone I know, who is a minor, mind you, and has done it before and admitted they would do it again. I'm not sure which one specifically. Also yuka is a terrible person in general, she gaslights people and guilt trips people over small things by threatening suicide, and has claimed KP has "stolen" designs they PAID her to make. I don't like most of the kp devs either but at least they aren't like. Predatory.
Most of the hindsight developers were old kp mods/devs that were kicked from the team, I'm not sure the reasons why but their willingness to work with yuka says a lot. Please don't support her or her game. Just play something else, man.

Hey, y’all are going to be hearing a lot of scary information about Hantavirus due to the situation with the cruise ship with infected passengers. Here are couple facts that may help you know more about the situation.
First, what is a Hantavirus?
Hantaviruses are a group of viruses that is spread by rodents that cause severe respiratory disease or kidney disease. They can spread to people through urine, saliva, or droppings from an infected rat. Spread from person to person is not super common and usually involves prolonged close contact.
What is the situation?
A cruise ship left the port in Ushuaia, Argentina on April 1, 2026. The vessel carried a total of 147 individuals, including 88 passengers and 59 crew members. On April 6, a passenger reported fever, headache, and mild diarrhea. By April 11, the passenger developed severe respiratory problems and died the same day on board. On April 24, the body was transported to Saint Helena (a British overseas territory).
On April 24, another passenger, who was in close contact with the first case, went ashore at Saint Helena on with gastrointestinal symptoms. She subsequently deteriorated during a flight to Johannesburg, South Africa, on April 25. This passenger later died upon arrival at the emergency department on April 26. On May 4, the case was subsequently confirmed by PCR with hantavirus infection.
Another passenger presented to the ship's doctor on 24 April 2026 with febrile illness, shortness of breath and signs of pneumonia. On 26 April, their condition worsened. He was medically evacuated from Ascension to South Africa on 27 April, where they are currently hospitalised in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Laboratory testing on an extensive respiratory pathogen panel was negative; however, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing confirmed hantavirus infection on 2 May 2026.
So far there have been three deaths and seven cases (two confirmed, five suspected) have been reported.
Is this going to be the next pandemic?
Most likely, no. Even with this specific variant spreading from person to person, this disease is not well suited to cause a pandemic level outbreak due to the low level of transmission. This is a terrible outbreak, and people in affected areas should listen to their local health authorities for specific instructions to stay safe, but there is a very low chance of this going global.

I am still seeing a lot of fear mongering about this situation and while I certainly don’t have the influence to change that, I’ll still share some updates from the WHO to help people’s anxiety.
Current update: The ship is headed to the Canary Islands and it should arrive early in the morning tomorrow in whatever time zone the Canary Islands are in. Once there several countries will be putting a plan together for passengers to disembark and then go through a screening process before being sent home. There are doctors who have spent their life studying this disease working to make sure the there is no chance of this disease spreading working on this case.
I want to EMPHASIZE the fact that WHO and ECDC as well as a handful of member countries are the ones handling this outbreak, so currently it is not in US’s power to mess this up.

okay i finally got to ch 3 in my replay so i can catch up on the rewritten stuff, and cause i heard a lot of people complaining about the new emotions dialogue
my honest thoughts (spoilers)
it could be much worse.. it's not my favorite rework, and it does kind of sadden me how some of the emotions have changed, but i do think some things were executed well !
i think that, despite incorporating in-game story elements to the emotions' dialogues being a stark contrast to the original, having events line up better like this feels nice. I WILL agree with some that the old dialogue felt more absolute, making it feel more personal and have a greater impact on the player (person playing, not the character) themselves. The chapter standing out that way made it special. But, lining up with the story isn't a bad idea to play with, just could have been executed better in certain spots
i like Greed's new dialogue a lot! Having it focus on more than just the wealth side of selfishness is very cool, and they didn't go overboard and get rid of its wackiness in the process. No further notes.
Solitude (er.. Sorrow, now? I don't like calling it that tbh) could have done better, imo. It really leans further into that "sobbing, panicking mess" side than the more reserved and curious one from before, kind of ruining the npc ducklings' dialogues leading up to the fight as the vibe doesn't match anymore. The idea behind what it's saying is not bad at all, but the way its actually written changes the feeling as a whole, feeling less complicated of an emotion and more stereotypical sadness (Which I guess explains the name change.. that's unfortunate)
Fear, I'm on the fence about. It's not that it's a bad rewrite, but something about it just feels less.. human? The old dialogue expressed a much more primal feeling of, well, fear, in the way it was written; you could imagine a real person speaking that way if they were in a panic. The new dialogue doesn't execute this very well and feels more robotic, I think, but that's just me. But the idea behind its words doesn't change, and I like that.
Hatred.. I will say this: It is not TERRIBLE.... but it isn't nearly as good as what it used to be. The idea, again, is not a bad one, it's just the execution. I was actually starting to have some hope for it up until the end of its monologue, which to me completely kills all the seriousness it once held for itself. It isn't intimidating as it should be, it's supposed to give you chills, it is the embodiment of absolute hatred consuming you from the inside... but it just isn't scary.
the fake builderman, though, I do like his dialogue. Him beating us up about ourselves until we can't help but bring our heaviest emotions to life, that's so good. I love that. Leaves you wondering if he did it on purpose so we'd kill and bottle up those emotions, or if he really wasn't kidding about wanting a clear path to the center without any fights.. either way he gets what he wants, and that's scary, I love it
all in all: the rewrite didn't ruin its status as favorite chapter for me, but i gotta be honest, i will be pretending in my head that some of those lines were executed better and no aura was lost... wont butcher the meanings ofc but damn they'll sound cooler in my head
