Oh, not the full name. His body froze, tensing up for just a moment at the slightly uncomfortable feeling but he would thankfully shake it off. A huff left the soldier as his right hand reached forward, grabbing a fistful of Remy's shirt as brown eyes stared up into crimson ones. Nostrils flared for a moment, lips pressed together as eyelids fell half shut.

“Remy Etienne LeBeau, I swear to god, you drop my full name again I will hang you by your feet over the nearest pool like you're a lobster I'm about to cook.” A threat, indeed. A threat that he would go through if he was allowed to, too. Plus, it was only fair to hit the Cajun back with his own. At least he knew better than take a swing at his partner. Had it been anyone else, that fist would have connected with a jaw within a second.

He would let go of the other's shirt with a shake of his head then a dismissive wave of his hand, mostly to signal that he wasn't that mad about it but he didn't enjoy it one bit.

“Psh, got anythin' goin' tonight? I was thinkin' of getting some take out but since you're here, figured I'd ask what Monsieur le chef wants to do.”

Remy tensed at the sudden change in tone, an eyebrow arching upward at the threat from Bucky. Crimson eyes widened fractionally before slowly resting back to their normal nonchalant position. A huff, a laugh(?), escaped from the Cajun's throat though he didn't speak until Bucky released him. Was he upset at the reaction? Yes, he was, but he wouldn't show it outwardly. Not yet. He had only been teasing and maybe he had pushed him a little too far. So until he could gauge where the guiltiness of the two landed, he'd take the brunt.

"Ah? Ya want Gambit ta cook after dat little display?" Remy bent down some coming more eye left with James, head tilting to the side. "Non, dats not how dis game is played. We get take-out, ah choose, and ah'm thinkin' bout Indian. De spicy shit. Love da stuff dat can almost kill me." He laughed his hands coming to rest on his hips. The coat he was wearing swishing behind him. "Dat sound good ta ya, homme?"

"If I had a gil for every time I have encountered someone turning into a dragon against their will... I would have several. Strange how often it seems to happen."

She chuckled, a low resonant rumble, folding her paws before her much like some great, scale-covered cat. Her brow rose as she eyed him.

"So, what is your story, longshanks~?"

Remy stood there quiet, uncharacteristically so for the mutant. Last few dragons he had encountered had tried to kill him in some way, so he was of course wary. Though she didn't seem hostile, at least, not now. He hoped to not give her a reason to be.

"Hm...glad tah know Gambit isn't de only unlucky fella to manage it." He spoke, attempting to carry the playful lit into his words as he would normally, but it fell short. He was tired. At the name, a brow shot upwards before he looked down at his legs.

"Why dats de first ah've ever been called dat." He let off a chuckle, "Dough bein' leggy? Been dat way all mah life. Now...as for de draconic characteristics ah've magically began sportin'?"

He sighed, shoulder sagging. He could feel the scales on his back shifting underneath his coat. The wings hidden just beneath his skin's surface.

"Let's just say, Gambit took an artifact he shouldn' have....and when ah tried to give it back to the dragon proper, it decided non. To stick with Gambit." He sighed, reaching into his coat's pocket and producing the left eye of Aggamotto. "See? Stuck wit' 'im. And...sometimes... ah don' wanna give it back. Sometimes."

⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆  ᴡᴀɴᴅᴀ  ꜰᴏᴜɢʜᴛ  ᴛᴏ  ᴋᴇᴇᴘ  a  straight  face.  she  bit  the  inside  of  her  cheek  and  tried  her  best  to  stifle  the  laugh  that  was  bubbling  in  her  chest.  the  way  his  instinct  was  to  protect  her  was  sweet,  it  melted  her  heart  but  that  didn't  change  the  fact  that  she  was  joking.  she  had  found  the  sword  amongst  the  rubble  of  a  museum  and  had  already  ensured  that  there  was  no  evil  spirit  or  demon  haunting  it.  ❝  my  love...  ❞  she  managed  to  get  out  before  a  burst  of  laughter  finally  escaped  her.

        it  took  her  a  moment  to  compose  herself  before  she  was  able  to  get  words  out  again,  a  hand  clutching  her  side.  ❝  it’s  just  a  sword,  баби  (baby).  it’s  not  actually  haunted.  ❞  she  got  up  on  her  tip  toes  to  kiss  his  stubbled  cheek.  ❝  you're  so  sweet,  i'm  sorry.  ❞

Remy frowned looking at her, then the sword, her words finally settling in. Crimson eyes going wide in understanding before narrowing playfully, his lips pulling into a smirk. "Ah, ya got Gambit, chère." He said sighing and plunging the sword into the ground. He wouldn't mention in out loud, but the amount of relief that ran through him was almost staggering.

"Non, it's okay. Just..." The Cajun let off a heavy sigh running a hand through his hair before his eyes softened some, "Just...was worried for ya, is all. Nothin' more." He tilted his head to the other side, "Knowin' us, we tend tah not have de best luck in de whole....mystic artifact department."

I'm still down and out. I don't know when I'll be up and at them. My ear drum burst, so I only have half my hearing (not including pain and the infection) so I'm just not...great.
