After Duncan saves Skyler from the 2 wolves that tried to attack her, a snow storm came in. After seeing that if Skyler did get warm see would freeze, Duncan was forced to stop and build a fire (which he knows how to do). Skyler was embarrassed that a wolf (which she had just met) had saved from death at least twice.
