This fandom needs to chill! Please, for like a second! People are harassing Josh, the blood of the Antis has been boiling since season 2 started, and the shipping wars. Have not. Even. Ended. We all need to realize that we're all being immature. The show doesn't focus on relationships or much of the characters' personal information and backstories, yet everyone is trying to throw around "chemistry between this person and that person" and "this relationship doesn't work". WE. KNOW. NOTHING. The only age we really know FOR SURE is Hunk's, and he's 18. I can't find a reliable source saying anyone else's official age. But that is BESIDES the point. The Paladins' ages DON'T MATTER. And you know why? It's because the show isn't about their ages or who they want to be in a relationship with. It's about them KICKING ABSOLUTE GALRA ASS AND TAKING DOWN ZARKON (OR WHOEVER ELSE GETS IN THE WAY OF A FREE UNIVERSE). Also, everyone should just stop fighting and hating on each other. If you don't like something just stay out of it, because then you're ruining it for people who do like it and then you will start arguments. I would also like to add that you can SHIP WHAT YOU WANT. Even though the show isn't focusing on relationships, we can still ship stuff outside the show on the fandom side, where most of us have HEADCANNONS and AUs. But like I said before, all of that doesn't matter when it comes down to what we're actually here for: the show, and it's plot. I'm not saying "OMG WE'RE A FAMILY LET'S ALL LOVE EACH OTHER BECAUSE IT'S THAT EASY TO JUST DROP EVERYTHING AND STOP HAVING AN OPINION". I understand that every fandom has a crack in its walls, but I also know that cracks can be fixed, or at least go on the road to being a fixed crack. What I would like to see is improvement, because I know that all of this harassment stuff and all of these shipping discourses are unacceptable. I'd like us to mature up a bit. I know I sound like that one annoying "peacekeeper" that every fandom has, but I don't just want to keep the peace, I want to stop all the bullshit. I know it can't happen immediately, but we should all try and be nicer to each other by: 1) Keeping out of things we don't need to get into 2) Letting people like their interests without being attacked every 0.4 seconds Sorry this is long and that I came out of nowhere! I'll be active again. I apologize for this being completely all over the place. It is very late on my part. This has been a PSA!

I saw that post you reblogged that said "don't feel bad if you shipped ship before the age reveal" and you commented "yeah! ship whatever you want!" Here's the thing, you're missing that post's key word: BEFORE. That post not validating child/adult ships. It's saying that if you shipped an ambiguously aged ship BEFORE they were revealed as a child and adult you shouldn't feel bad. It's NOT saying that it's fine to continue to ship an adult/child AFTER you know their ages. Because it's not ok.

Anon, I honestly meant no harm to you or anyone in this fandom, really. What I commented is what I actually mean okay: ship what you want. Lots of people ship Pidge aged up with Shiro anyways. And even if they don’t, it doesn’t make them a bad person. And not everyone wants them to make out and stuff. They’re all fictional too. Also, an adult and child together isn’t okay, I agree with you, but if it’s just a fictional thing, to me it doesn’t matter. Ship what you want, I won’t hate on anyone, but I do have the right to say I don’t ship anything and say that I don’t like a ship. To sum up: what I commented is what I meant. It doesn’t mean I support adult/child relationships IRL. It means I won’t hate on you if you DO ship it FICTIONALLY. (I don’t want to be attacked, this is just an opinion, and my truest intention is to just get my point across, not to offend anyone in any way.
