I always loved shopping for back to school. For the first time since 2003, I'm doing it again. Both program I'm interested in start in October. Back in high school and college, you'd get the list when you start school or a week before starting. Most school supplies were gone by the end of August. That's why I picked up some things. I already had some things like pens, loose leaf sheets, duo tang and journal/exercise book.
I gotta be even more thrifty nowdays. I got a binder, an eraser and some exercises books priced like it was the 90s. Paying 79 cents for a pack of 4 exercise book was so rewarding.
When I was a kid, my parents always thought me we reuse things. When I was in school, specially high-school, many people would throw away all their school supplies. Binders in good condition, working pencils coloring crayon... I get it's fun to get brand new stuff in the next school year, but, yikes. I still have 3 coloring marker from primary school that still works. Like 32 years old markers. I know today's marker would never. I bought some (other brand – the old one was discontinued) and they lasted 2 years max even if handled with more care.
