Misa should have been crazier. I know she was crazy crazy but I want her to be crazier. Have her actually kill people who show even a little interest in Light. Have her be overly possessive, afraid of losing a loved one again. Let her go further, push boundaries. AND LASTLY LET HER HAVE AGENCY!! Let her go against Light’s wishes or demands, maybe she could rationalize it to herself as doing it for the betterment of Light, even if he doesn't know it yet.

There's a different connotation in what Sayu says:

こんな大人の雑誌読んでたんだ？Konna otona no zasshi yondetanda? Were you reading this adult magazine?

だから鍵（カギ）閉めてたの？なんかやらしい Dakara kagi shimetetano? Nanka yarashii That's why the door was locked? Naughty.

In the English version she simply asks: "any dirty pictures?" whilst in the Japanese one SHE calls LIGHT naughty, or at least what HE was trying to do.

Also notice how in Japanese she calls it ADULT magazine and not NAUGHTY magazine.

The thing is that Light wasn't having a porn magazine in his hands, it's a 週刊誌 (Shuukanshi; Weekly news magazine) but towards a male public. Basically the cover, which is the following:

A gravure idol.....is used in this male targeted audience as bait. When you read what's inside, you'll find political debates, economy...that's what ADULT means (apart from a half naked woman on the cover).

It's funny because Light had to have payed attention to the cover so he knows what it's about, and the Kira situation is at least not in the main title (from what's barely legible, lol).

Can't really picture him buying lots of weekly magazines with gravure idols on the cover, but that's how marketing works in Japan I guess
