I love seeing vegan blogs on here reblogging from each other. Love seeing the community support one another by sharing people’s thoughts, studies, information data, art, and just anything else surrounding veganism and animal rights.

Discussing vegan food with non-vegans: Honestly, plant-based food is incredibly varied and flavourful! You can make pasta dishes, curries, there’s a lot of traditional international cuisine that you don’t need to modify at all! Learning to cook with legumes, whole grains, and vegetables can be incredibly rewarding, or you can make really good vegan junk food too. Wait, I’ll give you some links to my favourite recipe blogs, and here’re some restaurants around town that have very good vegan options–
Discussing vegan food with other vegans: okay but low-key a raw block of tofu with soy sauce, chilli flakes, and spring onion is peak dinner though
I never really appreciated all the different types of beans until I went vegan
me about everything: why isn’t that vegan
Vegan tumblr is one of the reasons I can get through the day without giving up on the human race. It’s like an island of niceness in the midst of the animal-commodifying people I am surrounded by all the time.
When people find out I’m vegan they sometimes ask if it upsets me that I can’t change things. But I am and I have. Not for every animal, but I’m not responsible for anyone’s decisions but my own. Of course I can’t change the world alone, but I have stopped participating. I have influenced many others to go vegan (12 so far, that I know of). It all makes a difference. I feel I have changed things for the animals I haven’t eaten.
Nobody could ever fix everything by themselves, so why am I meant to feel my effort is a waste just because I can only do what one person can?
I've started making something called "vegan cement" (just what I call it) and it's peanut butter, chocolate vegan protein powder, and some oat milk. Highly recommend it
vegans would rather eat cement than sustainably raised animals that were cuddled to death 😡/s
i've been seeing so many new vegan things at my local grocery stores it's so awesome, especially compared to a decade ago when there were only a few (if any) vegan options someplace and now there are multiple options of the same thing
yay!
i love you vegan cheese thank you for all you have done for me and the world
Being Vegan is really fun, actually!
People in my life don’t seem to believe me about this, I’ve heard ‘SAID NOBODY EVER!’ But it’s true!
I went vegan this year just to try it but found I don’t ever want to go back to meat eating again. Veganism has had an incredibly positive impact on my mental health and has already improved my life in myriad ways. I am having a fantastic time learning new recipes. Baking is like an awesome new science for me and overall the food I’m eating is both cheaper and better. And I get to enjoy cooking, baking and eating with the knowledge that nobody is suffering for the sake of my hunger :) yay!
You know what’s sad?
My company team is making a little picnic, and everyone should bring some self made snack. So I wrote: vegan muffins.
And my vegane colleagues came to me and thanked me and told me how happy they are, that I thought about them
I was speechless. It’s so easy to cook vegan, and knowingly making food that some people of our team can not eat is such a dickmove
- sincerely, a non-vegan
