rereading some things i said in a chat re: spartan-iis and anti-recovery fear a while ago. i want to do something with it maybe.

if a spartan-ii can start to pick apart what was done to them and how they feel about it and really get beyond the coping/justifications that were made to them and that they made for themselves in order to survive it, it would be a painful and difficult healing process.

it would make it actually difficult to keep treating other spartan-iis who haven't got there like everything is fine and normal.

and from the outside, from the perspective of a spartan-ii who isn't ready for that work themselves, it would be like one of your siblings has been suddenly changed at a core level and you've lost them.

and if it could happen to them, it could happen to you too.
