ep 8 was a ride for sure especially the waitress sequence when he sees his boyfriend with a girl also almost falling and getting held by the said boyfriend and running away in shame only for yuanhong to chase him and tease him about the girl being better than him but still ending up inviting him for dinner

and the diner was closed so yuanhong got to see shaoshang cooking AND taste his food and make compliments about what wonderful of a person he really is

Bokura no shokutaku cast announced

The cast has been announced!

Yutaka: Inukai Atsuhiro Minoru: Iijima Hiroki Tane: Maeyama Kuuga

I don't know much about these lead actors other than that both have been in Kamen Rider (but who hasn't haha). Kuuga-kun is 7 years old so I assume he hasn't made his Kamen Rider debut yet.

The show is co-directed by Ishibashi Yuuho, Iizuka Kashou and Kamimura Naho. Filming took place in Mima-shi (美馬市), Tokushima prefecture (on the island of Shikoku) which is also Inukai Atsushiro's native prefecture.

Actors' comments:

Inukai: [As a Tokushima native] the air felt instantly familiar. The scenery of Mima matches the vibe of the story, it's going to be so touching and heart-warming.

Iijima: I was excited to get to work with Inukai-san again, and having that background made it easy to communicate so we got into our roles quickly. As a Tokushima native he gave me so many raamen shop recommendations I didn't even have time to go to all of them.

The show will air on BS-TBS starting in April.

Banana Fish Ash Lynx and Eiji Okujura 1/7 scale figures in my collection.  The Ash and Eiji figure came with an extra portrait of Ash sleeping, like in the famous photo Eiji took of him at dawn and which he later hung in the back of his art exhibit in honor of Ash.

During my quest to find more Ayano Go and Hoshino Gen content after watching MIU404, I came across this May 20, 2020 Issue of the anan magazine online:

not relevant but i'm kinda emotional as it's the same day that i'd started learning japanese😭

The magazine is currently sold out on CD Japan, but I found a copy available on eBay (i'm adding it to my wishlist to buy someday in the future).
