Mortal Kombat II

They definitely stepped it up this movie with the fight scenes and the storyline. I had a few gripes with Katana vs Jade. The fact that Katana didn't even bat an eye when Jade found out she was working with Raiden which would OBVIOUSLY lead her to be jailed by Shao Khan. Surprisingly Karl Urban was great as Johnny Cage and I did enjoy the humor in this movie especially regarding his character. Overall 8.5/10.

Avatar: Fire & Ash

This movie felt like a continuation of Avatar 2. I do wish the setting took place in the Ash Village. The water fighting scenes were great but I wanted to explore a different part of Pandora in this movie. Also my boy Lupin only showed up for 5 min! Needed more of the wind traders. I honestly do not get the Spider hate online, although his acting was a little iffy. Overall I give this movie an 8 out of 10. Hoping we can get a new more menacing villain next movie.

Predator Badlands

Ever since Prey, the Predator franchise has been killing it with their movies. I was not sure what to expect with this one as the Predator was the protagonist but overall I was pleased. Dek's motivations, growth, and overall personality was very interesting. My only complaint is I wish the fight with his father was a little longer and some of the humor was a little overplayed but overall 9/10.

Jurassic World: Rebirth

Honestly, typical storyline. I knew which characters were going to get eaten. Very boring movie. I will give it a 6/10. I do not know how this made so much at the box office.

Ballerina

I do not get why John saved her. There was zero motivation. I couldn't tell when in his career this was. Overall though the fight cenes were crazy per usual. Better movie than I expected. Solid

Superman

/Superman was my most anticipated movie of the year. Did it exceed my expectiations? No. But it was still a 9/10 in my book. DC's future banked on this movie succeeding and it did. The viewers who grew up on a DC that consisted of the Dark Knight Trilogy and the Snyderverse were severely disheartened by this movie but if they had read the comics they would understand that THIS is Superman. Excited to see what DC has in store for us in the future!

I suggest everyone to watch this movie in 4DX. The racing scenes were way more immersive. That being said, this movie was definitely enjoyable. The suspense during the racing scenes was exceptional. The conflict between Brad and Damson's characters was not forced and Damson's character had an exceptional character arc throughout the film. Overall 8.5/10.

Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning

This movie was suspenseful throughout the whole movie. I enjoyed it but felt that the unlimited suspense resulted in a lack of set up for the first part of the movie. The first part up to a certain person's death had zero build up. I do like how they kept it open for future possible movies.

Den of Thieves

Just watched both Den of Thieves and Den of Thieves: Pantera. The first one didn't really live up to the hype. The gunfight was too short. The big twist in the end didn't feel believable. Pantera was better but the fact they just trusted a cop right away is WILD. What did you expect. Overall 7/10

Gladiator II

I probably made a mistake not watching the first movie. I was lowkey underwhelmed by this movie. I can't even place why it threw me off but it just did. I feel like movies like this need a show to do it justice.

The Amazing Spider-Man

I truly believe the swinging and this movie is the best swinging out of all the Spider-Men. (And Tom Holland is my favorite Spider-Man)

Harry Potter 5

I really wish we got to see Sirius Black more. I loved the character. Umbridge is on par with the Lannisters as one of the most hated characters in TV/movies. Fudge not believing Harry or Dumbledore that Voldemort was back was stupid.

Code 8: Part II

This movie had a simple premise and decent cgi. The relationship between the irl cousins was pretty good. I do wish it had more fight scenes and we saw Connor's electric powers more.
