i genuinely encourage non black people to engage with this, who might be worried they can't because of the word "nigga" because they feel like it's overstepping. the only way it would be overstepping is saying it to me when ur not black, but please don't be afraid to engage with black art.

i kinda get annoyed when non black people police other non blacks on how to engage with black culture because it creates a problem where non black people avoid us all together which can be extremely isolating and create even MORE tension and overall being uneducated.

i think people get so used to their own creative work that they forget how amazing it is so i’m making this post as a reminder You are the only person capable of making art the exact way you make it. nobody else on earth can do that. there are always going to be those little habits and intricacies and details that simply cannot be replicated whether it’s in writing or painting or textiles and you make life all the better for it i love my friends’ art i love art from strangers im trying to love my own art I LOVE YOU!!! though every rat is special, it's a wonderful and unusual thing for their accomplishments to be remembered and cherished by so many people so many years later. we're all so fortunate to know about the rat who banged out the tunes!

New oc! Well, revamped old oc that you can't tell who the original oc was at all lmao

I'm prepping for artfight >:)

She's a gyaru. I was originally going for ganguro but I fear she might be stumbling into other subcultures cause what I can find to define the subcultures and old photos cross really strange and when I was researching I was dead tired lol

Also drew an outfit that mimicks her original design a lot more

Decided it's from when she lived with her adoptive parents. Weird, rich necromancers that worshipped a spider god. They died in a fire, just like her birth parents. Maybe this second fire wasn't entirely natural.

Fern likes to travel. She doesn't stay in one place too long.
