And so I’ve come back to you.
It’s been nearly 20 months since I last posted on this blog so here are some updates:
Went to the Canadian Arctic twice. (flew the first time, drove the second time).
Went to Maui twice with my family.
Won the Brower Youth Award for Environmental Leadership.
Made a really cool recycling system with a bunch of really cool people that won a bunch of recognitions and prizes across the nation (not too humble about it).
Aldrin and I decided to pitch the project as a startup, many people liked the idea, some didn’t, we took 4th of 60 teams at a national business competition in Fort Worth, Texas.
Graduated from UC Irvine with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering.
My best friend Andrew got married.
Am currently 10 months into starting a company that takes waste plastic and turns it into 3D printable material (we hope to scale this into useful material for lots of plastic manufacturing).
My girlfriend got into USC medical school.
My twin brother got married.
Nearly to my 6 year anniversary with my girlfriend.
Went to CES, MD&M and lots of other conventions that included robot arms (I don’t know how we’d use one but I want one).
Got drunk with a couple CEO’s in Vegas.
Found out starting a company is a nightmare but really cool.
I was gonna attach pictures but thats a lot of work! HAPPY TEXT POSTING Y’ALL

The fashionable ideology that “artificial” lacks the inherent goodness of “natural” is an appealing, but hopelessly simplistic notion of the intellectually chic. Artifice is the result of a deliberate intent to make. Nature also “makes” things, using a set of basic building blocks common throughout the universe. Exchanging infinite time for deliberate design, nature has ingeniously built plants, planets, galaxies and unimaginable constructs which seem to structure the universe itself. What we call “natural” is simply the result of whatever set of rules nature has followed in fashioning our observable reality. On planet Earth, nature has manipulated the common elements to fashion everything from bacteria to the molten core of the planet. Discoveries in the “nano” technologies of bio, molecular, and micro engineering will re-edit the nomenclature of “natural” versus “unnatural”, blurring if not erasing the line of distinction between “machine” and “organism”, “natural” and “unnatural”, “God-given” and “man-made”.

Looking up at the UC Irvine, Francisco J. Ayala library.
Pretty proud of this design I did over the weekend. We needed a way to duct the mounted plastic grinder to the @filabot extruder so I modeled the two pieces and printed them on our @airwolf3d printers. The ducting fit without hose clamps, and the orange funnel piece fit well into the extruder. #3dprinting #buildlyfe #plastic #3dengineering #SPAMteam (at UCI Claire Trevor School of the Arts)
Will it float? I designed a quick print aircraft carrier, and while it floats the center of buoyancy is much lower than expected. Also a kraken may destroy it.
“Schrödinger’s Smoke. We describe a new approach for the purely Eulerian simulation of incompressible fluids. In it, the fluid state is represented by a ℂ²-valued wave function evolving under the Schrödinger equation subject to incompressibility constraints.” YouTube.
Basically I still know little about fluid dynamics

So I've been in 3D printing for about a year now as a student at UCI and came across 3D Brooklyn a few months back. These guys are awesome, they do it all, design, test, manufacture, everything! They're awesome!

Our #lulzbot #taz2 is singing away! First test out #SPAMteam made filament. IT WORKS #sustainability #3dprinting #buildlyfe #filament #recycled (at UCI Claire Trevor School of the Arts)
