Summary:
Jevin groaned as he pushed himself up, the rough wood beneath his hands close to giving him a splinter, if he moved the wrong way. He narrowed his eyes, squinting against the harsh sunlight. His head ached, but it didn’t take him very long to remember what happened and he shot up. “Welcome back, sleeping beauty!” False yelled, accusing Jevin to turn and see her holding the door closed, against the pounding on the door outside. “How nice of you to join us!” OR; the mission doesn’t exactly go as planned, now they’re stuck in enemy territory

Wels and Hypno didn’t expect to fall in love like this, they really didn’t. But they could only take a few late nights bundled up in the sheets of Wels’ bed as they talked softly. A few times sitting by the fireplace with hot chocolate after they had gone outside in the winter, a few gaming sessions after work.
They both fell, hard, though Hypno was the one that confessed first, on one of those late nights where they were both tired and warm in the blankets. Surprisingly, it had gone well, Wels had told him it was mutual, and a few days later, they went on their first date, one that definitely not their last. They still enjoyed those late nights, curled up by the fireplace together as they talked softly, or wrapped up in blankets on a couch, or one of their beds.
Except now, it felt like the time was truly theirs. The gentle touches that felt so different now, the soft kisses in the moonlight. Is there a word for wanting to stay in a moment forever?
Ummm first thing I’ve sent here. Hope I did it right?

It feels like they may never leave this honeymoon phase. Even the silly things, like Wels' bizarre sleeping schedule and Hypno's way too big coats (they take up so much room) are adorable to the other. They'd find it hard to say something they don't love about each other.
Neither of them thought they'd find softness like this. How nice to find it in another person?
A soft evening

reversed roles AU by LostInThe_Void on ao3

Hypno was leaning on the porch railing, looking out at the darkness surrounding the few scattered buildings that made up the edge of their neighborhood. He could take a deep breath and smell the food being cooked inside, and the chatter wasn’t something he could escape from, even from out here.
He looked up at the sky wistfully, his mind wandering. It was a beautiful night; he would give anything to go out, past the lights of the neighborhood, and find somewhere to lay down and watch the stars, glittering in the sky. It was something he had done in the past, but not now, not tonight. His family would notice that he was gone.
He noticed a shooting star out of the corner of his eye, and a small smile creeped across his face as he followed it across the sky. He made a silent wish, his eyes never leaving it.
The star streaked across the sky, ‘falling’ closer and closer to the ground - wait, what the hell?
Hypno’s eyes were wide as he watched the star getting brighter as it fell towards the ground, appearing as if it was actually close and about to crash not very far from him. Was this a meteor or something?! Hypno couldn’t figure it out.
When it disappeared from view, he snapped out of his stupor and jumped down the few steps to the ground, taking off into the night, following the path he thought it had took.
He crashed through underbrush and ran through open, patches of long grass, almost falling into a stream once. By the time he made it to the edge of the crater, he was panting heavily, and his legs wanted to collapse out from under him. But he forced himself to step into the crater, almost slipping multiple times on the smooth, slanted surface. He closed his eyes against the bright light the thing at the bottom was emitting, continuing to take slow, cautious steps forward.
Why was this thing glowing? Why did it not decimate the entire surrounding area?
These questions were swirling around in Hypno’s mind as he stumbled before he caught himself. The next step he took forward, his hands met something warm. He pulled his hands away, before hesitantly returning them. Was that skin?
He opened his eyes slowly, and, thankfully, he wasn’t being blinded by light anymore. Instead, there was a person looking up at him with a blank look on their face. Hypno realized that he was touching their shoulder, and immediately pulled his hands away. After that, he immediately realized multiple other things about this person.
They were glowing. They were right in the center of the crater, where the thing that had fallen from the sky was supposed to be. Also, Hypno wasn’t sure if they had any clothes on or not.
“Hello?” Hypno managed, deciding to put the bizarreness of the situation out of his mind, and instead focus on getting them somewhere safe.
“Hello?” They echoed, their piercing blue eyes never leaving him. Hypno shivered - it felt like every part of his being was being inspected by their gaze.
“Hi! I’m not sure where you’re from or why you’re here, but we should probably get you somewhere not in the middle of nowhere, right?” Hypno continued, crouching down so that he was eye-level to them.
“Right…” they echoed, their blank expression changing to something he couldn’t quite read.
“Hey, my name is Hypno, what about you?” He tried, getting up again and offering them a hand, which they took. Hypno pulled them up, but they looked contemplative.
“A name. I don- well. Well. You can call me Wels?” They replied, giving him a nervous smile.
Hypno gave them a small smile back, hating the way his heartbeat sped up, and he could feel his cheeks heating up. Damnit, that smile…
“Yes, well, anyway, we should get you somewhere safe,” Hypno repeated, turning away. He could feel their gaze boring into the back of his head, but it felt less intense this time.
“Somewhere safe? Where’s that?” Wels asked.
“I, um. I guess we could get you back to my house, we would have to sneak you past my family though,” Hypno replied, starting to navigate back up the slope of the crater. He focused on the ground in the semi-darkness, not wanting to misstep. It was a miracle that he had even gotten to the bottom without falling in the first place.
“Sneak me past your family, why would we need to do that?” Wels asked from in front of him, and Hypno’s head snapped up to see Wels standing at the edge of the crater. They reached a hand out to him like he had done a moment before, and Hypno took it, letting them pull him up while he stared at them in shock.
“How did you- nevermind,” he muttered, starting off in the direction he had come from, the light that Wels gave off letting him see the faint path he had made only minutes before. It only got more prominent the further they went, the loss of Hypno’s energy as he ran apparent. Weird, he wasn’t feeling that now. Oh well, he wasn’t really complaining. “And to answer your question, we’ll need to sneak past my family, because if they see me trying to bring someone they both don’t know and have never heard about into the house, they won’t be very happy.”
Someone who’s actively glowing and doesn’t have any clothes on. His mind supplied as he was explaining it to Wels, and he pushed it away quickly. “Anyway, I know how to do it. We’ll be fine, don’t worry.”
“Alright,” Wels murmured from behind him. Hypno took a deep breath as he focused his gaze on the path ahead of them. This would be fine, he tried to convince himself, but with the twisting feeling in his stomach, he knew that he didn’t believe his own words.
