I’ve been watching Good Omens for ’ll of about ten minutes and I have to say, I do like the poetry between hell’s most angelic demon and heaven’s most demonic angel coexisting
Through watching the rest of the show I went from “worst demon and worst angel- a demon that is too kind and an angel that is too hedonistic”, to “best demon and best angel- a demon so rebellious he can’t even cooperate with the rebellion and an angel so angelic he was ordered to love humanity and now refuses to stop”, and having finished, now, I’ve found myself resting on “two beings who are in fact very very human and love each other very much”
Also i don't know if y'all already put 2 and 2 together but look at them!! Together again!!! My loveliest Demon and Angel duo!

Aziraphale, having just listened to a song which is 87% made of the word bicycle: Oh look. No gears. Just a perfectly normal velocipede.
Crowley, at the very end of his tether: Bicycle. Can we get on???
NOT ONLY that but also literally minutes earlier Crowley said “oh lord heal this bike” and Anathema said “my bike didn’t have gears”. and both of these were directed at Aziraphale.

Aziraphale is a rule follower at his core. Which means when he wants to rebel, or be petty or mean or disobedient, he has to be creative .
There’s no RULE that says you can’t give your flaming sword to humans. There’s no RULE that says angels can’t enjoy food. The vehicle COULD be called a velocipede, if you were mad at your boyfriend and trying to rile him up by being posh.
Crowley fell because he asked questions. Aziraphale stayed because he just did anything that hadn’t been explicitly banned, and dared Heaven to prove he’d done it wrong.
#he also uses the exact same bitch troll trick on Gabriel at the end with great plan / ineffable plan#and i assume crowley caught on immediately bc hes been suffering aziraphale’s weaponized pedantry for millennia

Frivolous Miracles
“Go ahead. Do it,” Crowley whispers, the subtle curl of temptation tingling Aziraphale’s ears. He’s immune to it, of course, but he appreciates his demon’s efforts on his behalf. Crowley wants him to do this. He wants him to be happy. He wants him to stand on his own two feet.
And since Aziraphale has been resisting, he’s trying to give him a little push.
“I told you …” Aziraphale gazes through the cage bars in front of him, his heart drenched in sorrow for what he sees on the opposite side “… I can’t.”
“Why not?”
“B-because …” Aziraphale straightens his spine, holding hard to ground that wasn’t his to hold to begin with “… it would be frivolous.”
“That’s Gabriel talking …” Crowley growls the name “… not you. We’re free agents now! We can do what we please, when we please. And you … you’re a much better angel than him! Always have been, in my opinion.” Crowley leans in closer, his breath caressing Aziraphale’s cheek with every word. “So go ahead. Give it a shot. I know you want to.”
“It … it doesn’t matter if I want to or not. It may interfere with the …”
“Don’t say it,” Crowley grinds through his teeth. “I’m telling you, Aziraphale – do. not. say …”
Keep reading
Crowley keeps every drawing Warlock gives to him. It gets to the point where he buys a refrigerator and silly magnets for the express purpose of putting them all up, proudly displayed in his home.
When the fridge runs out of room he starts pinning them up on whatever miraculously free space is left on the walls of the book shop. When he wants to cycle his fridge art he just walks into Aziraphale’s and switches out for whatever drawing he wants. Some of the smaller drawings, Crowley will cut out and put in his wallet. (Some of the drawings that are too big to cut up he carefully folds and keeps in his wallet anyway.)
Aziraphale: I've got a miracle to perform in Africa this week, could you do it for me?
Crowley: Nah sorry angel I can't go to Africa.
Aziraphale: Oh? Why's that?
Crowley: Yeah some idiot keeps blessing the rains???
