i curate my experience a lot for mental health reasons, which includes blocking people who post heavily about discourse(tm) regardless of whether i agree with them or not

no ill intent meant by unfollowing/breaking mutuals, i’m just picky abt the posts on my dash and my preferences change a lot

it would be a sisyphean task to list all of my fav characters, so in lieu of that, here’s a list of character archetypes and traits/tropes i tend to be into:

sinister-looking old man in a cloak

cult leader/religious fanatic

fucked up body horror monster/cyborg

villainous sadistic asshole who is despised by all the other characters and/or fans

foppish 18th century gentleman

same with the fiction i enjoy…here are genres and themes and such i tend to be into:

sci-fi, fantasy, and horror in general

HISTORYYYYY. and historical fiction/genre blends. mainly the late 1600s to early 1800s lately

excruciatingly detailed worldbuilding

fucked up grimdark whatever

stuff about religious abuse/high-control groups

stuff about a group of people trapped in a secluded area with a horrifying mysterious threat stalking them

this has primarily been an elden ring/fromsoft and warhammer blog, but i like many different things and who knows what posts i’ll dredge out of the depths of tumblr on any given day…
