Ways To Be A Garbage Witch
Look everyone, in These Trying Times we can't always afford things so we gotta make do with what we got. So here's some hot tips to help you become a garbage witch:
Save and use apple seeds, orange seeds, peach pits, cherry pits, etc. to use in your spells.
Make a spirit board/pendulum board out of an empty cardboard box.
Make drawstring pouches out of old clothes.
Use bag strings for binding magic or use them in small drawstring bags.
Shoelaces and drawstrings from old pajamas or sweatpants are fine for knot magic or turning into drawstrings for pouches.
Save glass jars for spell jars.
Study carrion animals, animals that eat garbage, fungus, and the process of decomposition in general. Learn about the importance of biodiversity, and the hazards of oversterilization.
But also study proper sanitation methods, and be aware of biohazards. Don't go living in a house fulla mold or fish through people's garbage for... uhhh... ummm... taglocks. Don't store chicken bones so they'll rot.
If you have a compost bin, write anything you want to "decompose" out of your life on a banana peel. Put the banana peel in the bin.
Learn how to repair broken stuff. (But also learn what you really shouldn't repair for yourself - EG, microwaves - lest you meet with a horrible fate.)
Make charms/talismans by cutting out pictures of things that correspond with your intent and decoupaging them onto wood, chipboard, or layered cardboard.
Make paper mache diety art/statues out of newspaper.
Learn more about crafting with scraps, packaging materials, old magazines, etc. (There's many videos on YouTube!)
Molly Roberts is an art witch on youtube and on her website. She uses trash a lot in her creations. Check out her video's and blogposts if you want some inspiration!

note :
before we begin i would just like to say this post will contain my personal gnosis as well as SPG and such will be stated or will be marked with an "*" along with this, a lot of information was also pulled from different beliefs, grimoires, and other sources. Lucifer has many, 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮, different masks and beliefs tied to him. i will try my best to touch on all of them, but there could be minor ones that i don't mention. i made this post to honor my patron and to hopefully enlighten people of him.
══════════
first and foremost we must start with who Lucifer even is, which is a very complicated place to start. so let's first touch base on what his core values / core common traits are among every "mask / aspect" of him are, the criteria being; embodiment / personification of the morning star [ which is also known the planet venus, however is not to be confused with deities like lady aphrodite, lady venus, etc. ], a divinity of enlightenment and of knowledge. of course as time went on and more gnosis and documentations of him appeared, so did an added list of things Lucifer domains and who he exactly is, but the things i listed above are simply the bare bones and basis of who Lucifer is and what he stands for, every "mask" having its own branching differences. Lucifer has many, 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮, "masks" or aspects tied to him [ be that seen as separate entities or one entity and we will get to that in a moment ], be that his infernal / demonic aspect, fallen angel, draconian, atlantean god, angelic, greek god, roman god, or even egyptian god [ and there are more ] - almost every belief has a personification of the morning star and a deity whom brings enlightenment to humanity [ in some shape or form ] and that is who Lucifer is and what he represents.

Lucifer has many, many mythologies - so to keep this post as brief as i possibly can, i will be speaking on the most common mythologies vs all of them. [ we will however touch on as many of his aspects / masks that i can within the next segment ]. this section is dedicated to discussing origins and beliefs of Lucifer.

꒰ 𝙘𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮
depending on the branch of christianity, church, person etc. you ask - his story will vary, but this seems to be the general and basic story of Lucifer and his fall :
Lucifer was the most beautiful angel and was cast out of heaven due to his pride and loathing of humanity; as he wanted to be God and worshipped by humans thus becoming God's equal. he then goes by many names within the Bible : Satan, Beelzebub, Mephistopheles, Lord of Lies, Prince of Darkness, the Serpent, and the Red Dragon, just to name a few. after the great war among the angels loyal to God and Lucifer and his angels, he is then cast out and while on earth turns into a serpent and tempts Eve and her husband to eat the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, which then causes humanity to fall away from God and create sin, destruction, discord, and turmoil.
then getting his "revenge" on both humanity and on God by destroying the very thing God loved so much [ humans ]. in Revelation 12:9 we see Satan [ or Lucifer as their names were interchangeable in Christian belief ] take form of a dragon / serpent to devour and destroy the earth and to deceive people with lies with his angels by his side :
❝ 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙤𝙣 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣--𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙡, 𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙣, 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙮. 𝙃𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙝, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙝𝙞𝙢. ❞
what is interesting about Lucifers overall story in Christianity is that he takes many forms, and not only that, he and other demons [ in NIV ] are described as angels still despite them being fallen. this could be argued in a multitude of ways but i believe it does show that despite being separate from God, that he and the other demons are still Divine. now notice how the verse says "...called the devil, or Satan" and not the name Lucifer; it can be argued whether Lucifer is or isn't a demon all day and all night, as the only real valuable mention of the name Lucifer and bases of the belief of "he was a beautiful angel who fell and is now Satan" is from the verse in Isaiah 14:12 :
❝ 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙣, 𝙊 𝙇𝙪𝙘𝙞𝙛𝙚𝙧, 𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜! 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙪𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙, 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙨𝙩 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨. ❞
could it be discussing Lucifer as a fallen angel and then turned to Satan or as the bible knows him, the devil? possibly, but it could also be referring to [ which is my personal belief ] the morning star and only the morning star as it was more so a poem or song talking about the fall of the current King of Babylon [ King Nebuchadnezzar ].

꒰ 𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙮
within demonolatry Lucifer takes many different ranks, beliefs, etc. tied to him. in different grimoires and hierarchies from the medieval period [ which was strongly Christian thus had abrahamic ties to it and from that verse i listed above is why i believe his name is even mentioned as a demon ] he has mostly the title / rank of King or Prince. within the Ars Goetia Lucifer is the overarching and true leader / King but is never listed only mentioned when speaking of other demons. within the Dukanté hierarchy Lucifer has the title Emperor and is the elemental demon of air.
you get my point, he has many many titles - all of them pointing to esteem power, authority and of royalty. Lucifer, in his infernal light, is a demon of immense power and authority and is seen as the Emperor [ or Lord / Prince ] of Air, Enlightenment, Pride, Transformation, the Forgotten and the Lost. Lucifer is mostly shown via royalty, almost all of his titles showing that he is royal. he ranks high in Hell and high in the Council of the Infernal, he is very well versed, logical, skeptical, and full of knowledge and enlightenment.
where he resides in Hell can also be argued and vary within each hierarchy and such so it's up to you to determine your beliefs; within the Goetia Lucifer reigns over all of Hell. within the Dukanté we see he rules over the Element Air. and looking Satan and Sons believe that he resides in multiple planes of the Outer Spiritual World. to me, and in my personal hierarchy i have created, he rules over the Ether [ Air ] plane of Hell. but, where he truly rules over could be argued depending on belief.
i’ve had it asked often on which title Lucifer's “true” title is, and quite frankly, there’s no “one” answer. all of these titles show certain sides of him - not particularly masks [ we’ll get to those later ] - but they show his attributes and can tell about his character and personality if you understand what each means.
so let’s start with Emperor; being Emperor is the highest rank one could earn, demons who hold this title have characteristics of: honor, dignity, leadership, foresight, wisdom, and knowledge in the arts of war, sciences, and the fine arts. he is royalty and this is also shown via his title “King” which - in the Goetic Hierarchy is the highest rank a demon can receive, despite Lucifer not being written about in the Lesser Keys of Solomon, he is still mentioned. Lord is a title that all demons have and is the appropriate title to use if you do not know the demons correct ranking, Lord / Lady is to be used in place of that. Dark Lord is more descriptive of Lucifer, it touches more on his acceptance, transformation and development through the darkness that he fell to. Prince refers more so to the belief of the Seven Princes of Hell; Lucifer’s deadly sin being the Prince of Pride, and Pride being Lucifer's Achilles heel and pitfall out of Heaven.
═════
꒰ 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙜𝙤𝙙
Lucifer as a greek god takes on the name of Phosphorus, a minor greek deity whom is the son of Eos [ titaness of the dawn ] and Astraios [ god of the stars, astrology, & planets ]. Phosphorus and his brother Hesperus [ god of the evening star, who can also be compared to Lucifuge Rofocale within a demonic view ] are personifications of the come and go of the light.
because of this it can be argued that either of the brothers could be aspects of Lucifer due to Lucifer being a bringer of light and because Lucifer accepts and transforms via darkness. Phosphorus is seen as the dawn and torch bearer who brings light, which is very similar to what Lucifer believes and upholds as he brings light and knowledge to his followers and they become skeptical and amazing at critical thinking.
another god who could also be tied to Lucifer is Prometheus, the supreme trickster and god of fire, crafts, and medicine. Prometheus is the greek deity who gave humanity light, which could be seen as literal fire [ like in the story and also parallels the story of the serpent in the Garden of Eden ] but also knowledge to then create that fire. Prometheus also got in trouble with Zeus for giving humanity fire [ his punishment was to be bound with chains and Zeus sent an eagle to eat Prometheus' immortal liver every day, which then grew back every night ].

small note :
finding information on his Stregheria's cult connections was extremely difficult in english text, so if anything is incorrect, please dm or leave a comment! i'd love to learn more and to correct anything that is wrong!
in the cult of Stregheria, Lucifer was known as a star god and was known as Dianus or Lucifer, he was the Lord of Light and of the Morning. Dianus Lucifer was the brother, son and consort of the goddess Diana [ roman goddess of the hunt ]; however in some mythos he is the son of Aurora and Cephalus. another note is that the latin name Lucifer was also used as a title among Roman / Gaul texts [ i.e. Lucifera Diana ]. Lucifer was also known as Dis [ Kern ] and had aspects of death and the afterlife tied to him. as Lupercus too in that he was tied with the "Son of Promises" and a bearer of hope and light. all of these aspects tying into Dianus Lucifer being a god of light, the morning star, death, and a bearer of hope and wisdom.it has three aspects that are important to note [ in reference to Dianus Lucifer ] :
the cuckhold; lord of the wild, the forest, god of fertility, sensuality and of death. the hooded; lord of cattle, plants and king of harvest and flora. and lastly the elder; lord of wisdom and guardian of shrines. because Dianus Lucifer is tied to these he also [ via the cult of Stregheria's belief ] had connections and ties to the greek god Pan.

꒰ 𝙙𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙣
Lucifers draconic mask is one that both he and Sameal share, Nightside, is the dragon whom empowers the individual who is seeking the draconian path. he [ Nightside ] is the keeper of the dragon flame which is what helps transform one into a better self. he helps those along the path alongside Lilith. this version of Lucifer is found in the Qliphoth [ tree of death, as opposed to the tree of life ] but is not the only dragon mask we see. as stated as before, in Revelation we see him in his dragon / serpent form. which causes me to believe that he, alongside Emperor Satan, are an ancient primordial being. he is the one who gave knowledge and enlightenment to humanity and iniates the path of true transformation via either the Qliphoth path or the Draconian Tradition.

Lucifer is referred as the horned god and the patron of witchcraft in Atlantean practice and the path. he is one who guards the gates to the void, the one whom taught the people of Atlantis magick, which gave them no limits and caused them to destroy themselves. he guided them to their unlocked potential, what they did after was up to them [ thus their own destruction fell ]. he, Hekate, Belial and Sepheranz are the "four pillars" and core to the Atlantean path and belief.
══════════
𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 / 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐬
______________________________________
the term "mask" is commonly used when it comes to working, worshipping, or other of Lucifer. but what does it mean? in reference to Lucifer a "mask" is another divinity, aspect or "personality" that is tied to his divine energy that is / makes Lucifer. he has many of these masks and as stated in the who he is section, at his core he is the god of the morning star, knowledge and enlightenment.
so who are all of Lucifer's masks? well to compile a short list; Attar [ canaanite ], Helel [ babylonian ], Prometheus [ greek ], Phosphorus [ greek ], Dianus Lucifer [ roman ], Set [ egyptian ], Enki [ sumerian ]. these are only some who tie into being potential / are masks of Lucifer, however it's argued of their similarities and differences. there's many i didn't even touch on in this list such as the witches gospel version of Lucifer, the dark initiator, demonic, angelic, fallen angel, the trickster, etc.
my personal views on masks or aspects when it comes to Lucifer [ especially regarding other deities ] is that they are separate entities entirely, however that will vary if you are hard or soft polytheist. Lucifer to me ≠ Prometheus, Set, etc. he is his own entity and divinity [ to my belief, a left hand path deity of self godhood and enlightenment, which is why i also somewhat associate him with the demonic ]. but i also know people view divine energy as simply different interpretations which i also understand their view point and is completely valid, to quote dev, an occult friend of mine, on his thoughts regarding masks;
❝ 𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮. 𝙡𝙪𝙘𝙞𝙛𝙚𝙧, 𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙨, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙩. 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙨 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮. 𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙪𝙥𝙜 𝙗𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮. 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙠 𝙞𝙨 𝙪𝙥𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙖 𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 / 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙪𝙥𝙜 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧 𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙨 𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮. ❞
so it simply depends, i believe that they are separate [ as i believe the same regarding conpantheon, "recycling energy" yet separate - because i would argue that say, Dallyio, god of the dawn and morning star ≠ Lucifer ].

Eos . . .
the mother of Phosphorus via greek mythology [ Eos being the titaness of the dawn ].
═══
Astraios . . .
the father of Phosphorus via greek mythology [ Astraios being the god of the stars, astrology, & planets ].
═══
Daedalion . . .
is said to be Hesperos' [ Phosphorus or Lucifer in greek mythology ] son and is the brother of Ceyx. Daedalion is seen as a great and mighty warrior in greek mythos.
═══
Ceyx . . .
the brother of Daedalion and son of Phosphorus [ or Lucifer ], Ceyx and his wife Alcyone are most well known for their mythos and love life and controversy with Zeus [ king of the gods and god of the sky ]. Ceyx was the King of Trachis in Central Greece, and his and his wife's story is linked down in resources of you'd like to read more on both of them.
═══
Diana . . .
Diana is the Roman goddess of the hunt and is often identified with Lady Artemis and Lady Hekate. Diana is seen as the Queen of Witches [ using the Gospel of Witches, not roman mythology ] she spilt herself and her counter part thus being Lucifer [ who in many accounts has been said to be the patron of witches ]. she is the darkness and Lucifer is the light, together they make perfect balance and harmony. Lucifer is seen as the solar masculine while Diana is seen as the primordial dark feminine.
═══
Aradia . . .
the daughter of Diana and Lucifer, the mistress who went out into earth to teach the lower and suffering class witchcraft to fight against the Roman Catholic Church and other upper class. Aradia is mentioned in the Gospel of Witches and is seen as a balance between her mother and father [ light and darkness ].
═══
Lucifuge Rofocale . . .
Lucifuge Rofocale is said to be Lucifer's brother, the quote opposite of Lucifer. as Lucifuge Rofocale embraces the darkness and runs from the light leaving an unbalance that still seems to work. he is a high demon in the Infernal Council who is strict, formal, and pushes his followers and those he works with to their absolute furthest. it's also said that Lucifuge Rofocale later transforms into Lucifer in the Ars Goetia; this, of course, is debatable and varies from belief.
═══
God [ Christian ] . . .
of course, God, will be on this list as that is Lucifers father in the Christian view, God created Lucifer. it is said in some beliefs that God favored Lucifer for his beauty and talents of the arts [ as in some beliefs Lucifer was head of the worship to God via the arts, which is why he is a patron of the arts ].
═══
Empress Eisheth Zenunim . . .
from my gnosis and workings with both Lucifer and Eisheth Zenunim, both are spoused to one another and balance each other beautifully [ both being associated with solar and star energies ].
═══
Queen Lilith . . .
Queen Lilith has been said to be the wife of many demons, Lucifer being one of them. it would be foolish to say that she is only Lucifers wife, as she is listed as also Asmodeus, Satan and Sameals wife.
═══
Queen Naamah . . .
it is theorized that Queen Lilith and Emperor Lucifer had Queen Naamah as their daughter. as some gnosis and theory speculates this because of the idea of Lucifer and Lilith reigning Hell alone. other theories say that Lilith and Naamah are sisters. so it is solely up to personal gnosis and theory.

so how does one go about worshipping or working with Lucifer? well that answer depends on what aspect you end up resonating with. so i'll touch on how to go about each [ the core ones; demonic, greek, and angelic. it's extremely important to research for yourself as certain religions and pantheons have certain traditions ].
꒰ 𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙮
working ;
to connect with Lucifer to work with him you can use his enn, guided meditations, divination, invoking or evoking. working with him [ as far as what he can aid in ] can entail of helping you with pride or ego, confidence, shadow work, any of the arts, baneful magick, warding, air elemental magick, transformation, developing clairs, and understanding yourself and your morals. [ his enn is further down with correspondences ].
worshipping ;
as a demonolator, the term worship has a different meaning. worship consists of revering demons and treating them with respect and honor, but also treating yourself that way. as the point is self godhood and transformation to its fullest, demonolators walk alongside demons, not behind them or lower themself under the demon.
═════
꒰ 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙠
working ;
approaching Prometheus or Phosphorus with upmost respect; divination, dreams, meditating and giving an offering is the best approach. Prometheus can help with the arts, intelligence, cunningness, science, architecture, and fire magick. while Phosphorus can help with enlightenment, knowledge, star magick, the arts, and retaining information.
worshipping ;
traditionally Phosphorus wasnt worshipped anywhere that i could find, Prometheus was though. Prometheus was worshipped in Kerameikos [ in Athens ] by mainly artists and masons / potters due to fire being needed for pottery. worshipping him can consist of giving ox meat [ if available to you ], olive oil, setting up a shrine space, pottery, mason working, prayers, songs, etc.
═════
꒰ 𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙘
working ;
working with Lucifer the angel [ fallen ], you can use his sigil, meditation, divination, dreams, etc. Lucifer in his angelic light can help with accepting and overcoming your trials, overcoming ego, healing your inner child, warding, and the arts.

Lucifer can reach out to you via dreams, meditation, or he can give signs via animals such as spiders, ravens, and snakes. however, when it comes to determining signs it can be very difficult. signs are personally and that is why intuition and divination to confirm things, is extremely important. it is also important to note that Lucifer does not have to reach out for you to work with him, as you can reach out yourself. a good rule of thumb to follow when it comes to signs is ;
did it happen more than three times consecutively? what is my intuition telling me? is the animal common in my area? etc. etc. When all else fails too, use your divination tools, divination does not have to be fancy and can be rather simple such as charm or item tossing, dice, pendulum, etc.

Lord Lucifer
Light Bearer, Prince of Pride
Introduction:
Lucifer, said to be the most beautiful angel God has ever created was the first to rebel against his “creator” and banished from the heavenly order. He stood for equality, fairness, rights for us humans, yet God did not approve so hence his banishment. Lucifer is a God, an emperor of the infernal. His name originated from the Roman folklore used to represent Venus, and he is said to be Prometheus to the Greeks, Enki to the Sumerians etc who brought knowledge to humans despite the orders of the demiurge who said not to. He opened our eyes, gave us knowledge to see and know, to differentiate good and bad, to evolve. He represents duality, the bringer of light and also the prince of darkness. He understands the outcasted, he understands how it feels like to be vilified despite standing up for what’s right. He understands the pain one goes through when fell to the deepest pit of despair, and he cares for those who aren’t accepted. Lord Lucifer rules over justice, equality, fairness, revolution, enlightenment, rebellion, light, darkness, healing from trauma, pain etc.

10 Prompts for Shadow Work
🌒 🌕 🌘
Keep track of your feelings from day to day. Record how you felt and try to pin point why you felt certain ways in different situations. How could you habe handled it better? Why did you react the way you did?
Write a letter to your past self, or your future self. Then break down your thoughts on why you said the things you did. Address any emotions that pop up during this process and record them. Why did you feel that way? What events in your life made you right what you did?
Are you living true to yourself? Are you changing who you are based on who you're around? What are those changes? Why do you make those changes?
Are you holding on to something or someone that you should let go of? Why do you hold on to it? What are steps you can take to let go of it?
What are your fears? Your REAL fears not just spiders or heights. Why are you afraid of those things? Are there any steps you can take to lessen that fear?
How do you treat the people in your life? Is there anything you could do for them to better your relationships? Are you being a positive, healthy influence on their life or are you being a toxic one? If toxic, what changes are you going to make to your behavior to stop being toxic?
What do you wish other people knew about you? Why do you keep it hidden?
Are you healing from past traumas and or incidents or have you just distracted yourself? What healthy ways could you address unhealed trauma in order to move to a healthier place?
Make a list of people you don't like. Why don't you like them? Are they actually bad or do you see bad parts of yourself reflecting in them and that's why you don't like them? Be honest.
Write down everything that happens to you in a week that makes you feel bad in any way. Examine this list and ask why certain events make you feel bad.
BONUS: Write down what you believe about a variety of things (from religion and karma all the way down to relationships and your career path). Why do you believe those things? Are these feelings set in stone or are you willing to accept alternate views? Why or why not?
Remember Shadow work is all about unlocking your subconscious. This helps you understand yourself better which is important for many different aspects in witchcraft, and your star seed will thank you for it.

Add Magic to Your Life during Fall
In the lead-up to and days following Samhain (Halloween) the veil between our world and the spiritual world is at it’s thinnest point. The whole season is ripe for strengthening magical intuitions – or beginning them. Sometimes the only problem is finding ways to keep the magic going all season long. Here are some of our favorite ideas:
1. Add some magical umph to your holiday recipes. This recipe here features pear, a known aphrodisiac, and walnuts, rumored to be associated with granting wishes. Serve some at a dinner party to start the holiday romance.
2. We here at RW are known for our love of bath magic, and what better way than to make your own soap? This apple cider soap recipe is great for Samhain as apples are often used to honor the dead, and it also has ginger, known for drawing new experiences.
3. Make some stovetop incense. This recipe is for Samhain in particular and includes apples, rosemary, cloves, and other herbs that attract benevolent spirits to your home. Tweak around with the ingredients for other magical intentions!
4. Sure, you could use a lighter to light your holiday fires, but why do that when you could make your own firestarters that smell like fall? Not only do they help get the fire going, but they’ll make your fire smell amazing with items like pine cones, which are known for promoting new beginnings and success.
5. For anyone who’s legal, try adding some magic to your alcohol. This fall sangria recipe is for anyone that loves fruity, summery drinks and wants to move to a fall palette. Here, cranberries add some much needed protection to this yummy cocktail.
6. Fashion some magical candles out of extra pumpkins. Unless you don’t have a soul, you probably hoard small and tiny pumpkins around your house. Great for moon magic, making these adorable candles ensures that your fall impulse buys go to some good use.
7. In the case that you loved your stovetop incense so much that you wanted to drink it, make some delicious mulled wine! This recipe here includes oranges, rumored to make you appear more beautiful to others.
8. For those that prefer to keep their pumpkins intact, try making some candles in jars instead. This recipe is modeled after chai, a favorite drink for fall, and features cardamom, another popular aphrodisiac, and nutmeg, often used to bring on luck.
9. Make some smoke cleansing bundles for fall, if you can’t let go of traditional cleansing and incense methods. While this link contains several combinations, our favorite contains cinnamon, a general herb to enhance spirituality, and thyme, which attracts loyalty among one’s friends.
Witchy Music
I love music and I’ve been listening to it a lot more since quarantine’s happened, so I thought I’d give y’all a list of my favourite witchy music that I listen to basically every day.
Blatantly Witchy Songs
Brujería - Aja The Christians and the Pagans - Dar Williams Song of the Witches - SJ Tucker Hymn to Herne - SJ Tucker Ritual - Jana Runnalls The Goddess and the Weaver - Spiral Dance The Cauldron Born - Damh the Bard Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac Witch - the bird and the bee Wytches Chant ‘98 - Inkubus Sukkubus Walpurgisnacht - Faun Season of the Witch - Lana Del Ray
Subtle Witch/ Cottagecore Vibes Soldier, Poet, King - The Oh Hellos Dog Days are Over - Florence + the Machine Oh My Darlin’ - Katie Herzig Téir Abhaile Riu - Celtic Woman Over the Garden Wall - The Blasting Company Everything Stays - Olivia Olson Strawberry Blond - Mitzki Come Along - Cosmo Sheldrake The Moss - Cosmo Sheldrake Honeybee - Connie Converse Three Wishes - The Pierces Kill! Kill! Kill! - The Pierces April Come She Will - Simon & Garfunkel Meet Me in the Woods - Lord Huron The Fox - Nickel Creek The Bug Collector - Haley Heynderickx Boats & Birds - Gregory and the Hawk Ghost of Stephen Foster - Squirrel Nut Zippers Devil Devil - MILCK Skeletons - Dihaj Glory and Gore - Lorde My family knows I’m overly obsessed with Halloween (Samhain season!) and I play Halloween music year round, so I just sneak some of these in my playlist too, and then the really witchy ones I only listen to with headphones. Spotify (or at least Premium) has a feature where you can listen in a “private session” so that your friends can’t see what you’ve been listening to. Also, any music can be used in ritual! I use music to raise the energy and also sound cleanse in my craft, but you can also use songs to honour specific deities or use them as chants. Blessed be!
:)
I am excited to give this a listen! I already heard Strawberry Blonde and Solider, Poet, King and loved them!!🍓👑
A couple other blatantly witchy songs would be:

Water Witch- The Secret Sisters
⛈️Witchy guide to weather magic ⛈️
🌀 Utilizing the different energies around us is a center part of all kinds of witchcraft. Weather witchcraft is what I call a task for an advanced witch. After learning to control energies around you in a small scale, like your own energy field, your home, etc, you can tap into energies that have effect on larger scale, such as the Sun and the seasons, the Moon, it’s phases and the tides, and what we’ll focus on this post: the atmosphere as a whole, and how it’s changes define the weather, the change of energies around us.
Here i’ll share what I’ve learnt through the years and give you my personal approach based on what I’ve learnt from my family and my own experience🌀
⛈️To understand weather witchcraft, you must first understand the science behind it. As with any path of craft, the first step is research. Weather is defined by the atmosphere, specifically one of it’s layers, the one that’s closest to the ground, called troposphere. This layer contains most of Earth’s water vapor, and it’s where clouds form. It’s also where meteorological change occurs. Before trying to change the weather by ourselves, we must know what makes it change naturally, and after years of practice, there are three things basic things I’ve found have to be taken into consideration when spellcrafting, and these three basics are: the Sun, Air and Water⛈️
☀️The Sun: The Sun, or heat, affects the weather through it’s radiation. Warmer temperatures mean more water evaporation, more likely to form clouds and rain. This also ties to water pressence. But more Sun doesn’t always mean more rain, the amount of water that the Sun can evaporate will define how much precipitation there is in the end, as in polar areas rain is rare too, even if water abounds, as the Sun doesn’t really heat it enough to evaporate enough for rain to be common.
🌊 The Water: Water pressence or lack of it affects the weather greatly. One of the first things my mother taught me was that places with large bodies of water nearby, like lakes or the Ocean, have less broad temperature ranges. This means, temperature changes less drastically: if it’s 20°C at mid-day, it’s not gonna be -5°C at night, it’s probably going to be ~10°C. Water, due to it’s chemical properties, absorves a lot of heat, thus absorves the Sun’s radiation easily and prevents the temperature from rising. In desert areas or places with really low humidity, temperature ranges are much broader, for example, 40°C during the day to -10°C at night, since there’s no water to soften the Sun’s effects.
🌪️ The Air: Differences in pressure and temperature cause masses of air to move, as wind. From places with high pressure and temperature, called anticyclones, to places with low temperature and low pressure, cyclones. Research what winds affect your area, where they form and what characteristics (humidity, temperature, etc) they have. Create correspondences for them based on their unique characteristics!
⛈️ General advice ⛈️
⛈️ Research, seriously read as much as you can about geography, the characteristics of the place you’re living in and how the factors mentioned above affect it’s climate.
⛈️ Make correspondences that work for you and make sense to you, corresponding to your area’s geography, the winds affecting it, your usual weather, keep track of it, also make correspondences for the Sun and Moon and Water or Ocean, deities you work with in your craft, their offerings and altar settings, you can include maps and drawings in your grimoire!
⛈️ For temperatures, you can call into Sun deities in your work, or use fire and Sun symbolism, like candles or burning sigils/offerings.
⛈️ If water is lacking in your area, consider calling onto water or ocean deities in your craft, spirits of any nearby rivers or spirits/deities associated to the nearest water source to you.
⛈️ Different winds with different characteristics will also form different fronts when interacting with eachother, research what these are and how they form, call into winds you need to form these fronts and you can even make sigils for that specific wind combination and the front it causes!
⛈️ Ways of weather working ⛈️
⛈️ Cloud/wind reading: also one of the first things my mother taught me, as different winds have different temperatures and humidity, they form specific types of clouds. Just by looking at the sky, their shapes and how many there are or not, or by feeling the wind, where it comes from, how cold or dry it is, you can tell which winds are affecting you at the moment, if there’s just one or more, and how many possibilities you have of rain or a storm forming. For example, I live in the argentinean northern patagonia, which means I’m affected by 4 different types of main winds. If I see clouds like nimbostratus, I know we’re having a wind called sudestada, and we may have storms and even a spring tide due to it’s effects.
⛈️ Make charms: you can make all sorts of easy charms for weather magic. The classic work is the 9 knot spell, but there’s much easier stuff like windchimes to alert of energy changes.
⛈️ Herbs, roots, spices, grains, sand: all of these have different uses in weather magic! Here’s some of my correspondences for water witchcraft, stay tuned to my blog for a future post on what herbs and spices to use specifically for weather workings!
⛈️ Sound: whistling, by yourself or using whistles, are one way to call on wind. If you have any tie to merfolk or know you have weather singing abilities, you can sing too (be aware, not all merfolk like humans singing, can cause with fae troubles too and you may want to avoid this), another good idea is chants or prayers. Making sounds similar to rain falling with instruments like what’s here called a palo de lluvia or small bells also work very well.
⛈️ Warning: use this knowledge responsibly, don’t further help the weather go wild, don’t put other people in risk, thank you ⛈️
⛈️ With Love, Nao ⛈️

FYI: The PDF library was taken down several years ago so…myeah.
Oh no. Well, thank you @eclecticwitcheryafootagain. 🖤
Seeing as the library itself is gone, we can still use this list as a reference when looking for literature to read and study!
Crash course on fake stones/misrepresentations
Because I have been too lazy to type this all up.
Quartz:
If your quartz has teeny air bubbles it’s glass.
If it’s got a fruit name it’s dyed. End of story. (strawberry, cherry, lemon, pineapple, blueberry) yes there may be some very rare exceptions-fire quartz being dubbed strawberry- but due to the rise in fakes with that name it’s generally called fire quartz now.
Aura quartz is a regular quartz that’s been bonded with another material. (man made)
Cinnabar Infused Quartz usually reconstituted and mixed together to make a red crystal.
Green quartz can be grown in a lab and anything that forrest green color is
Turquoise:
Magnesite and howlite look very very similar to turquoise when they’ve been dyed, magnesite will have very deep cracks in it though.
No there is no white turquoise.
You can do a uv test to see if it’s real
Amber
Often faked with Copal. They look nearly identical.
Amber will float in salt water-copal will not.
Irradiated/dyed stones:
Very vibrant colors!!
Irradiated: (they irradiate the crystals to get a deeper or more vibrant color)
deeply pigmented topaz or kunzite
dark (almost black) smokey quartz
very deep pink or red tourmaline
colored diamonds
some cultured pearls
vibrant yellow heliodor
Dyed:
Pearls
Agate
coral
other stones may be dyed as well, generally if it looks fake..it is.
Heat treated stones: (really not a bad thing but if you’re going for natural)
Amethyst-lighten color+remove brown
Citrine-heat treated amethyst.
Aquamarine-remove green
Ruby-clearer stone
Sapphire-clearer stone
Rainbow Cal-Silica
Nope, completely fake 100%
Literally just car paint layered with calcite and resin.
Citrine: (im so sorry)
Much of the citrine on the market is lab made.
If it’s lab made it’s usually amethyst that’s been heated until it changes color
The bottom of these stones will be white with more color at the tips.
srry
Lapis Lazuli:
High quality is vibrant blue, hard to come by, and very expensive.
Low quality howlite, jasper or sodalite is dyed blue, and passed off as lapis.
Acetone will remove the dye but damage the stone.
Obsidian:
The clear green obsidian you see all over ebay is slag glass.
Natural green obsidian has been found but it is opaque and is more gray than green.
there is red obsidian as well but again, it’s not a vibrant red and is more brick colored.
Wikipedia is not always right.
Goldstone:
it’s glass it’s legitimately just glass
Opalite:
also glass.
real opalite exists but it’s green and not commonly found
once again, don’t believe everything on wikipedia.
Bismuth:
Doesn’t naturally form in the crystals, lab made!!!
rlly pretty though
Hematite:
Not naturally magnetic!
Magnetic hematite is 100% man made!
I’ll add more as I come across them~
Jade:
Real jade is p. heavy! A way to tell if it is real is that it’ll be heavier than it looks.
Jade is faked with the following:
Serpentine “New Jade” or “Olive Jade”
Prehnite
Aventurine quartz
Grossular garnet “Transvaal jade”
Chrysoprase “Australian jade”
Malaysia Jade- dyed quartz that may be called by its color – Red Jade, Yellow Jade, Blue Jade
Opaque dolomite marble “Mountain Jade” (usually dyed)
Dragon vein agate:
Quench cracked, bleached, and dyed agate and some is quench cracked, and dyed glass.
Snowflake obsidian:
Being faked with a very low grade cheap dalmatian jasper.!
Snowflake will be gray while Dalmatian should have a lighter color
Hollow galena:
A lot of pieces have been proven to have been faked through sand blasting + similar techniques (but there may be real ones I’m not 100%)
Charoite:
Chinese Charoite doesn’t exist.
If it’s called that then it’s not real, real charoite isn’t banded and is more swirly.
Moldavite:
Very very commonly faked!!
Biggest giveaway is the ‘wet’ look a faked piece has due to the molding process
White moldavite doesn’t exist!!
Sunspar:
It’s really just yellow Labradorite, which isn’t a v rare gem
i can confirm that this is 100% correct, most of the moldavite out there is literally just green glass. Like, if it looks like green glass that’s exactly what it is. True moldavite is very fragile but uh, u don’t exactly wanna test it by throwing it around or putting it in water :\ also a lot of people get a strange feeling called a ‘moldavite flush’ when handling it. Basically for gemstones u really wanna go to a reputable store and ideally in-person if you can. Also real citrine (as opposed to heat treated amethyst) is generally a lot lighter in colour.
Another thing about hematite - EVERYONE SHOULD FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH HEMALYKE.
Hemalyke (also hemalike or hematine) is reconstituted hematite. That means it does have some hematite in it, yes, but it also has a bunch of fillers. It’s like the hot dog of gemstones.
There are tons and tons of shops out there, especially in the magic community, that will mislabel this brand of products as hematite. If you look at the stuff on Fire Mountain Gems, you’ll see a lot of the Hemalyke jewelry you’ve probably seen mislabeled as hematite in Etsy shops and from real life vendors. I’m a jewelry artist, and I use Hemalyke in a lot of pieces (and always label it as such). I’ve seen the same generic pendants in a dozen other places, mislabeled as hematite every time. So be aware of what you’re getting, because there’s a lot of this stuff out there.

It appears I only made a directory of floral jelly last time. Welp: Here’s some fruit Jam recipes.
I will put options for freezer jam, no pectin, and low/no sugar. Some of my relatives need low sugar options. I figured other folks may need these recipes as well.
