ok, I’m sleep deprived and nearing deadlines for my work, but I just gotta get this out real quick… Because this is the reason I couldn’t sleep last night.

Time travel AU where after ep 36 wenzhou got sent back to 10 years back in the past.

Wkx somehow got it in him that all bad things happened because his interferences (zcl losing his family, han ying’s death, gx’s death, zzs forcefully removing his nails) so he decided to not go after his revenge at all and stayed in the ghost valley, not even to pursue zzs.

Maybe he got GX out frequently so she can enjoy growing up under ‘the sunshine’, maybe he ruled the ghosts differently and actually instilled in them some sort of loyalty to him so they wouldn’t all betray him for Xie Wang later, but he mostly kept to himself, trying to make the best of it living in the ghost valley without his soulmate.

Meanwhile, Zzs, who was also sent to the past, got to work immediately. Making sure he doesn’t develop Tian Chuang, making sure he protects Siji Manor properly, and making sure Jiuxiao lives on and got together with the princess. And when the time comes where he’s supposed to meet Wkx, he steps down, and excitedly goes to that bridge in that town, waiting to have their first meeting all over again. Even got an extra gourd of wine for him to share with wkx later.

The problem is… he waited all day, staring at the restaurant Wkx and Gx were supposed to have lunch at, and… there’s just no sign of them?? Did he get the date wrong? Supposed not, because he already saw Zcl and his servant passed by??

Cue to Zzs going on a roaring rampage to track down what the hell happened to Wkx and storms into the ghost valley to knock some sense into the idiot.
