I've been keeping my eyes on all of the new Fortune's Weave promotional material that's slowly trickling out, and in my heart I have been committed to choosing Cai first. I mostly see people talking about the other three, whether they're picking Theodora or Leda because they're gorgeous, or Leda because they love revenge, or Dietrich because they love a shady Alucard-looking motherfucker, and I understand all of these sentiments! Truly, we know me, we know all of these sentiments describe me, I love a beautiful woman or a protagonist with the rage of a thousand hornets or some long-haired dubious man, but I feel maternal towards Cai and the lack of comments I see about him only makes that feeling grow. I want to help him. I know we're probably not gonna manage to save his father because he's a Fire Emblem protagonist but I have to help him. He's just a boy...

Anyway all of that said, my fickle heart has been looking back at Dietrich because yesterday they introduced another one of his friends, Esmerelda, and said that they met because Dietrich saved her from being sacrificed to a sea monster in her home village and I gotta know what the fuck is going on there. I love me a sea monster. What the fuck is happening in Dagda. I wanna know about the sea monster.

I proposed the idea of changing the twins' names in the Eisner Twins AU the other day so let's shitpost with the new names to get a feel for whether I like these or not.

Anyway I've been spinning in my head what Leth is up to during the timeskip and I think a great deal of her time is spent with House Fraldarius and I think about a year into this arrangement Felix sits bolt upright in horror one night as he has the terrible horrible vision of his professor becoming his stepmother.*

*I believe I've seen people say that Lady Fraldarius is mentioned or implied? to be alive in Three Hopes but like. there's no way. There's no way there's a mother in that house. That is the most motherless house of all time. There's no way Rodrigue is doing all of this in Azure Moon with a wife at home. He's either a widower or so extremely divorced, like Gilbert.

Anyway anyway, Rodrigue once asks Felix how old Leth is, because he genuinely can't grasp it, sometimes he thinks she's Sylvain's age and sometimes he thinks she's in her 30s, and Felix freaks out and is like "don't you ever ask a question like that ever again. Also I have no idea and furthermore, I do not know if she knows."

Rodrigue has no idea why Felix has responded like this or that Felix has invented any of these scenarios in his head.
