excuse me if it's canon, my amnesia is high rn but I don't think Barbatos is like. Anything. Not even purley fictional. He isn't a demon, nor an angel, he's just.. there. I also don't think he exists in all realities as duplicates, but rather is one entity existing everywhere at the same time <- on top of that I think he's a shape shifter.

A fictional demon, for now, is a great disguise. Works for him and it's also fun to mess around in 2d realms.

I think what might've caused his creation Him is also stuck there.
