WHAT IS TROPES FEST?

Our annual fest comes with an exciting twist: Sign up now to participate, and on October 17th, the Cauldron will assign you a trope to write! But that’s not all…those who love to write dangerously can volunteer for Double Trouble!

DOUBLE THE TROUBLE???

YESSSS…the Cauldron will grant the truly courageous with 2 tropes! The writer will then have to write a single story using both tropes.

DATES:

Signups open: Sunday, October 4

Assignments: Saturday, October 17

Due Date: Sunday, November 22

Reveals: Daily starting November 23

Written solely for this fest. No previously published fics

Complete for the fest, although participants may choose to extend their fic after the fest. But please make sure the fic feels complete as a standalone while the fest is active

There was no closure. We just stopped texting one day. No more sending empty words through emptier channels. At times I opened the chats and started typing again, wondering whether you were also about to do the same but stopped short to let me type first.
