He was awaken yet again in the middle of the night by his dreams of drowning over and over again. It was consuming him and he needed a drink to take the edge off, or at least attempt to. Making his way out of his bedroom, he didn’t expect to bump into Elena in the hallway. “Oh…Elena, hi.” he said, the distress clear in his voice, but he still tried to compose himself. “Everything’s fine. Perfectly fine.”

Elena watched Stefan as they bumped into each other. He was clearly distressed ; In fact, she had noticed that it had gotten, she didn't know if worse was an appropriate word but certainly not better, since they had successfully killed Silas. "Stefan." She answered simply, giving him another small smile. "Couldn't you sleep ?" She asked after a moment.
