Laughing and not in the slightest bothered but more motivated by the others lack of smile, the Tynnan leaned her chin on her small paws: “Oh no, usually I open with the line ‘I’m learning about important dates in galactiv History. Wanna be one of them? ’ , but you seemed like a guy who needs a kriffing little laugh and some romance, so I used my special sentences just for you.” She winked playfully, her sharp claws tapping a small tact on the side of her muzzle. Ziv had always been a bad sleeper, so when she was nt spending he rnights reading or preparing her healingpinments or looking after the plants she was growing, it was the permanent mumble of voices that hung like a sillage in such places that helped her to keep her mind occupied. She had just talked to the other on a whim since he had been sitting alone and was therefor a good way to keep her mind occupied from the lack of sleep and the tieredness biting into her body with sharp teeth, so when he answered the young woman only grinned.

Accordingly she just smoothly slided in the stool opposite of Carth, fluttering her frostwhite lashes up at him: “Oh, do you invite me for a free drink? Since you are already offering it, it would be kriffing rude to not accept, accordingly- yes, thank you very much! I would like a Fuzzy Tauntaun.” From a musicbox a quiet melody swirled through the thick air in the bar. It was only artifical light that fell on the tables in the bar, but at least it was dimmed and not as stark yellow and bright as usual for artifical light that would stitch in ones eyes like needles. For a oment Ziv rubbed a small paw over her eyes, rubbing out the heavy tieredness hat made her eyelids feel heavy: “So what is the name of the person that made my heart skip a beat, mhm?”

     Ever so slightly, the corners of his mouth quirk upwards at her answer. “I mean...I'm no expert, but I think that one is a little bit better from a... purely romantic perspective.” Rim of the glass was brought to his lips as he took another drink of alcohol from his glass, reveling in the burning sensation down his throat. “I appreciate the sentiment, really. It feels like a long time since I've felt something in a positive light about anything really and uh, romance isn’t really something that’s been on my mind for a while, but that’s not something I want to talk about.” His heart had been too preoccupied thoughts of revenge. How could he think of starting a romantic relationship at a time like this?

     “Wh- hey!” He starts to protest as she sits up on the stool beside him, only to stop. There wasn’t any harm in buying her a drink, he had more than enough credits and he’d rather buy someone who was nice to him a drink rather than someone who wasn’t the best company to hang around with. “I wasn’t offering, but... I suppose I could buy you one drink in repayment for trying to cheer me up. I would feel like a complete jerk if I didn’t. Just one though, alright? No offense, but you’re looking pretty tired, so it’s probably best if you don’t go to town on the alcohol.”

     There’s a brief silence in between Carth ordering Ziv a drink and the time it takes for it to arrive that’s filled with the chatter of other bar patrons and the jukebox near them. He finds himself slowly zoning out to the light sound of music playing from the jukebox. It isn’t until her question that he realizes that he’s zoned out. “Carth.” He extends his hand across the bar counter. “And to whom do I owe the pleasure of keeping me company tonight?”
