Something I drew last year but didn’t like, so I shelved it.

i could actually rant about all of the things i dislike about slipknot but specifically modern slipknot

i like modern slipknot's music and masks but the commercialisation and vast difference between what they originally believed in vs now is just staggering like it feels as if "all the money in the world cant buy me" and various other lyrics mean fuck all now if they're selling umbrellas, belts, lighters, pool floats, led signs and bottle openers with their logos plastered onto them

please keep in mind that slipknot is my special interest and there's not a day that goes by where im not researching or listening to their music or looking through archives so i am not saying this just to be an annoying sack of shit

i doubt that anyone will really gaf about this its 3am for me and im just annoyed thinking about the various things that have happened, jay's firing, chris' firing, joey's firing, craig's depature with no real explanation and the continued perpetual moving slipknot machine that never stops

slipknot fired joey over email and didn't mention him again until he passed away and whenever band members leave or get fired there is an IMMEDIATE replacement always on standby to take their place and it stops becoming about the members after a while

i really hate saying this but i truly think that the original slipknot died with paul and the loss of the original nine members

it stops being about the actual guys themselves and instead becomes a touring fantastical liveshow like knotfest where it's an endless corporate entity designed just for money and it has no regard for any previous morals the band held

the only original members left are corey, clown, jim, mick and sid and the only 'founding' member that was there in the original lineup for mfkr is clown

yes i know that most bands sell out or quit before they become sellouts but this is just my opinion, i like a lot of modern slipknot's songs but they aren't the same as old slipknot and im not being an elitist by saying that , the difference is quite obvious

sorry for the rant but this is my blog i guess so i suppose it doesnt matter
