I’m pretty sure that Australians don’t have more then maybe 30-50k MAX people on tumblr. Like American had some 30 million users in 2020 (aka basically probably peak over the last 7 2018-2025) while Australia only has 26-28million people depending on who you ask (27 to be safe) so I’m just genuinely curious how many of us there must be on here.

It's fun when you can tell things about people by what colours they like to surround themselves with. Someone who likes wearing and decorating all their stuff with green is usually a calm, chill, down to earth kind of a person. They don't usually even notice how much of all their things are green, they just see a green thing and think "oh, pretty" and don't even put together just how much of their stuff ends up unintentionally being green.

Someone whose clothes and stuff are predominantly purple is something else, that's a Distinct Kind Of Personality who enjoys having a distinct colour scheme and goes out of their way to get it. Purple is too unusual of a colour to just accumulate unintentionally. A person whose belongings are mainly purple enjoys knowing that the people who know them probably first think "oh, That Person would probably like that" whenever they see something purple.

But someone who specifically enjoys the combination of purple and green? Yeah that's a harder than average herb wizard.

I STILL have many thoughts on the idea of women and sex being a civilising force on men, who would otherwise be unable to speak, reason, or have a social life. That sex itself will eventually bring forth an awareness of death. And that this is a modern lense that I KNOW had been applied to that particular text, but I will never be sure if that was in the original cultural understanding of the text, or if it was just an idea that sex with a priestess was literally enlightening by virtue of her channeling divinity through her cooch.

hi! jus wondering, what does your username (washi puppy) mean?

Oh hey! It's made up of 2 parts - Washi, as in the Japanese word for eagle, (which is a homonym for the type of fancy paper) + puppy, a baby dog.

At first, I had some variation of "eagle", which kind of made me look like a patriotic American girl instead of a weeb nerd. So I switched to the Romanji of eagle, and then added the puppy because I love dogs and 'Washi' was often taken.

I've kept the name because 1. It just feels like me now, 2. I like the way the homonym works in English (making it sound like a paper puppy to most people), 3. I enjoy that the Kanji for the Golden Eagle literally translates to "Eagle-dog".

I have now watched several videos of people creating 'cleaning characters' (e.g. creating a fantasy character who's a half-elf maid for a Duke kind of thing) or imagining themselves into a "my morning" style vlog for a stay-at-home influencer doing some cleaning before brunch.

Heck, even that woman who imagines herself as a 50's housewife whose husband will beat her if the house isn't spotless has a clean house at the end. Whatever works and brings even the smallest spark of joy into the endless repetition of cleaning.
