The way that Rumple treats Belle’s dad in comparison to everyone else will never stop being funny to me. He has absolutely ZERO patience for that man. With literally every other character, without exception, he’s always using magic and manipulation and deceit and tricks. He’s like “I’m going to pretend to be your friend but really it’s because I need you to do this for me 😈” or “I’m going to collect this seemingly innocuous item from you but it will ACTUALLY be turned into a weapon that will kill you 😈” or “I’m going to send you on a quest that seems straightforward but really it’s going to enact a chain of twenty different events that both hurt you and everyone you love, and most IMPORTANTLY, get me what I want 😈” He’s always on his machiavellian, evil rube goldberg machine, 5D chess shit. But then, with Belle’s dad, for some fucking reason, he’s always like: “okay well I’m just gonna beat you to death.”

Snarling Rumplestiltskin - Quiet Minds

I’m apparently in a snarly Rumple mood lately.

Some funny character chart alignments with my fave different ‘parts’ of Rumple. Featuring: pre-spinner knight rumple, spinner rumple, new dark one rumple, insane impy rumple, mr gold, goldstiltskin, trapped zelena tortured mr gold, weaver, and heaven/afterlife rumple. I love to see how his character changes and evolves, which is why I included so many versions of him!

I’ve watched over half of OUAT Season Six and it is so abundantly clear that Gideon (I call him Gid in my head because it seems unfair that only Baelfire has an official name abbreviation - Bae - and it seem suitably Australian which his mother Belle would appreciate) is Rumple’s son and Peter Pan/Malcolm’s grandson because of the intensity with which he commits to the bit for the sake of drama. To collect Emma’s tears, he could’ve just cut an onion near her or used tear gas, something like that. He did not have to pretend to be a different guy, open and operate a small business, create a backstory for his persona, serve other patrons, create branded napkins and learn how to mix drinks, but he did, and I love his dedication. He is very much a Gold, every member of his family would be proud of his dramatics as well as his ability to skulk around in a cloak and vanish in a puff of smoke just like his papa. He may have been forced into this by his awful grandmother the Black Fairy who has not endeared herself to me at all, but he’s having fun with it where he can. God, I love Gideon. 😭

What artist do we think Rumple would listen to most? I like to think he’d have a record player, so what artists do you guys think he’d listen to? I think he’d be a Bowie fan (for the eccentricities), but I also think he’d be a big Sleeping At Last fan because it would make him emotional about his sons and about Belle and his humanity in general.
