And it might be scary to jump into water this deep, this unknown, but he just needed to adjust to the temperature for a little bit.

In the middle of a storm, with thunder sounding in the distance and lightning brightening up the room, but only once. With the promise of talking tomorrow, but also the promise of Jungkook being there for the next week, and the motivation to overcome this perhaps small but annoying obstacle. With a little fear in Hoseok’s head, about how this was going to go after tonight passed, and during the weeks coming, but him choosing to ignore it and inhale Jungkook’s scent instead.

Jungkook blinked, twice, and looked at Hoseok with surprise. “What?” he peeped.

“You just told me I made your heart flutter. You should’ve stopped talking there,” Hoseok explained, although he was laughing. He wasn’t really annoyed and could understand where Jungkook was coming from, especially because he’d said earlier that a lot of guys got scared of if Jungkook told them he was a father. He rested one of his hands on Jungkook’s, just to calm him down, and added with a laugh, “I would’ve told you that I liked hanging out with you a lot, too, if you’d just stopped rambling.”

Seokjin- Cowboy like me

↳ this song just,, fits him. It’s sort of a criticism on rich people which I could see him doing. Despite being wealthy, I could see him still being critical of these spaces and feel that though he’s there- he’s a “bandit”

Yoongi- No body, No crime

“think he did it, but I just can't prove it I think he did it, but I just can't prove it No, no body, no crime But I ain't lettin' up until the day I die” 

↳  I typically give Yoongi the most intense songs on her albums, and this is no exception. Especially since this is a song about finding truth- I think this very much fits Yoongi and his desire for fairness and honesty. Also its an absolute banger.

Hoseok- Cony Island

↳   This one was pretty easy to assign, I really resonated with the imagery of lights and the sun contrasting with cold abandonment, because I honestly think it really suits him. The sort of shining beacon but still darkness underneath, that there's more depth beyond the light. 

Namjoon- Happiness

↳   This song just couldn’t be more Namjoon in my opinion. The themes of self awareness, self reflection, and self improvement aid to his own writing style. Honestly, this song really feels like something he would write. It’s very forgiving but explores phycology on both sides of a relationship. It’s introspective without being vindictive- very Namjoon !

Jimin- Ivy

↳   On a much less literal note, i think the mood of this song reminds me of Jimin the most. It’s daring, scandalous even, but shows insecurity and fear at the same time. The beautiful imagery also describes Jimin well, I think !

↳   This song to me just screams his energy. When I first heard it, it just felt like something he would write. It describes opulence and refined activities laced with desperation and cynicism. Though it’s not the most concrete, it just feels like him ya know??

↳   This, admittedly, was a bit hard. I was caught between a few songs, but I settled on this one because of its upbeat and youthful energy. There's this sense of loyalty and childishness that I think really fits him ! It’s so pure and wholesome with a bit of edge- the sneaking away and secrets. It just seems to fit him the best!

The relaxing beat of the R&B song was interrupted when his doorbell rang, and Jungkook’s heart did a weird little thing at the sound. He, Seokjin, and Yoongi got up at the same time, but it was Jungkook that walked through his loft and to the front door to open it. Because behind it was Jimin, and Jungkook couldn’t wait to see him.

Once he opened the heavy steel door, he spotted the elder, and Jungkook immediately knew what Hoseok meant with the text he had sent Yoongi. Because Jimin looked bad. Remember the night when the article was released? Yeah, tenfold that image. Because that’s how horrible he looked.

Accepting the promise, Jungkook pulled away and wiped the three tears that rolled down his hyung’s cheek away. “You know I’m here for you, right?” he whispered back, wanting the tears to stop spilling from Jimin’s lash line. He didn’t really know why Jimin was crying, figured he was just overwhelmed, but he didn’t know if it was the good or the bad kind. Nonetheless, he wanted him to stop, because he didn’t like to see Jimin cry, and the man had to be on stage for his performance soon. 

“Promise?” Jimin whispered, insecure, eyes clouded with things Jungkook couldn’t decipher. 

“I promise,” Jungkook answered faster than his heart could beat.

Beautiful, smart, rich, and romantic. I really dodged the fucking bullet,” Jungkook said, taking the glass of wine Jimin handed him.

Another laugh escaped from Jimin’s mouth, this one light and free. “Nah,” he said, “I think I’m the lucky one here. Have you seen yourself?”

Jungkook studied the sunlight that got reflected by Jimin’s earring. It caused a bright flash of light to shine on the table, but it wasn’t nearly as bright as the sparkles in Jimin’s eyes. “I have, in fact, seen myself. And I think that you’ve got impeccable taste,” he joked.

He placed a hand on Jimin’s knee and continued. “I swear to god, to whoever wrote that, I will beat them up if I see them.”

Jimin laughed again, a little bit more genuine but still faked, and answered, “Didn’t know you had a protective side.”

“I do boxing. You know that.”

“Still, you wouldn’t hurt a fly,” Jimin answered as he took a sip from his cappuccino. His other hand wasn’t petting Zowy anymore - who had laid down on the carpet - but was playing with the hem of Jungkook’s sweater instead.

Liking the way Jimin smiled, Jungkook said, “I’ll let Yoongi and Seokjin do the work. I’ll just give them orders.”
