I drew this a long time ago to convince encourage @orangepanicnic to write her the Boulder/Ursa fic, and I want to be able to post it for @avatar-wtf-weekend but 1) it's not new and 2) it doesn't fit a prompt. I'm gonna share it anyway.

It's sort of nsfw, so it's going under a cut. No nudity or anything, but far less sfw than anything I've posted here before.

I absolutely drew this based off of some pose reference base and I can't find it, so know that this is only like 10% me and 90% someone else's work, I just made it Ursa and the Boulder.

sokka didn’t grow up with anyone else his age (iirc) so i do love an au where he leaves the swt and discovers that he finds both girls and guys but assumes that bisexuality is just a fact of life. especially because canonically in the water tribe queerness is kinda taboo but in the way where you’re just not supposed to talk about it. so he figures ah i guess that’s because two guys or two girls can’t make babies so that’s why nobody told me about liking both. but if i feel this way surely everyone else must.

there are so many great options for how he discovers this isn’t in fact the case including but not limited to:

zuko comes out to the gaang before the war ends and sokka goes “woahh i didn’t know people could just like one” and everyone else hits him with the 🤨 (including aang who grew up in a place where there were no rules regarding love and gender so he just never assumes)

zuko annuls the laws against homosexuality in the fire nation and sokka is very confused

sokka sees katara take interest in a girl and asks if she’s gonna go for it and she checks that it’s genuinely chill with him (she had the more typical response to a lack of queer representation) and so he asks why wouldn’t he bw

sokka accidentally comes out by saying that if jet wasn’t such a bastard he definitely would have been battling katara for his attention and is once again hit with 🤨

Timeskip!JetKo ?!?!?! It's them meeting in the Fire Nation palace after Zuko's latest quest with the Gaang!!!

This has not left my head for a while now.... i'm gonna be super annoying about them.... and yes, sorry i had to bring the mullet with me on this journey..... i'll give him different hair on the next one maybe...

Personal headcanons:

- They've been dating for a few years at this point! (Yes, only a few years. You can't tell me they weren't toxic and didn't have a label in their early 20s.......)

- Jet helped restore Bihou after the war ended. Though he has a home there, he and the Freedom Fighters are more frequently in Republic City or Ba Sing Se.

- Jet still mixes up his clothing like he used to when he was younger. Everytime he would visit the Fire Nation he'd put on something "to help him blend in". Doesn't really help though when everyone knows you're the Fire Lord's lover 🤠🤠

When Katara says "I'm just glad we finally have another girl in the group because you two [Aa.ng and Sokka] are disgusting," and then Toph immediately joins them in being disgusting, I wish there had been a parallel moment where after Zuko joins he's like "You three [Aa.ng, Sokka, Toph] are disgusting. How is Katara the only one here who knows what hygiene means? The rest of you act like you were raised in the jungle." And Katara is still mad at him but begrudgingly appreciates that finally there's someone in the group who washes his fucking hands and who she doesn't need to clean up after.

My biggest dissapointment in the (sane) zutara fandom will forever be that they collectively chose taang as their alt Aang ship instead of sokkaang. Smh

Sokkaang and Zutara are such fun pairs to put together. Zutara constantly having to keep Sokkaang's collective idiocy in check and Sokkaang on constant 'keep Zutara from getting themselves arrested' duty jsndnsnd like come on, the potential, it's so good.

And then Toph gets to be an aroace queen who's just there to have a good time and mercilessly mock her friends for suffering alloism.
