A Night Away (Y/N x Mr Whatsit) !!OOC!!
(i can't believe im doing this) This is post chapter 2 but before chapter 3 because I haven't gotten that far yet. The devil works hard but i work faster. Be warned. This might be bad.

"Oh my, dear.." Mr Whatsit chuckled, seeing the disheveled state you arose in after were unceremoniously kidnapped. Your eyes adjusted to the warm, soft lighting of his house, immediately distracted by the faint smell of your favorite breakfast through the open bedroom door.
"Wh-what..?" you groaned, head spinning from.. something. You can remember what led you to be in this house. Hell- you can't remember anything at all- safe for your name and such. Sitting up on the bed led to you holding your head in your hands, still spinning in confusion. What was happening? Was anything real?
Only then did you realize the man standing across from you, smile plastered on his face, cold and calculating. He shut his pocket watch and closed his eyes in an attempt at warmness, only for you to back away into the headboard, doubt and fear evident in your face.
"(Y/n), wasn't it?" The mysterious man asked, tilting his head towards you. You only nodded in reply, clutching the bedsheets.
"Who.. who are you? How do you know my name??" You asked, trying to hide the fear in your voice. Even when everything seemed so nice and warm.. you couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. *Very* wrong.
"I do apologize for such a rude introduction. It's just that, well, dear Holly wanted you here so badly- to save you from the monsters." He explained, opening his eyes and staring at you far too long for comfort.
"W-what about Holly? Monsters? What?? Is she alright?" you managed to find your voice, only for your eyes to roam over the man's figure, when slowly, the realization dawns on your face.
*Pocket watch. Suit. Hat. Glasses*
It was him. The mysterious friend Holly always mentioned in the countless hours you spent babysitting her over the past year. You had always thought of it as an imaginary friend- even if she was too old for it- you had never expected to ever see him in real life.
"*Mr. Whatsit..*" you said aloud, staring at him, a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts through your head.
"That is indeed me" He chuckled, walking to stand right beside you on the bed, leaning down to look closely at you.
"Now.. listen to me, (Y/n). I trust that we both care for Holly greatly. Right?" He smiled, but you still felt a shiver go through your spine "She had asked for your companionship above all else. Above her parents. Above her friends. I can trust you to take care of her when I'm gone, right?"
There was an instinct inside of screaming for you to say yes. That instinct also screaming that you'd die if you gave any other answer.
And so you nodded in agreement, unable to find the words, scooting away from him on the bed as he leaned forward.
Then his gaze dropped, staring at you coldly.
Only for him to smile brightly at you, and you heard the pitter patter of feet running up the stairs and into the room, seeing Holly cheer in laughter as she hugged Mr. Whatsit.
Her smile brightened as she saw you, warming your heart as she ran up onto the bed and hugged you tightly
"See!! See (Y/n)- I told you he was real!! And he saved you from those monsters that would eat us!!" Holly smiled, staring at you with wonder only a child's eyes could have.
You could only smile and nod back, grateful that at least *she's* safe.
"Well then.. I trust you two will become acquainted and be good friends. Take care of each other now. And- Holly" he called out , turning his head around.
"Tell (Y/n) just as I told you. Never. Go. Into. The woods" he warned, before turning on his heels and walking out the bedroom.
"..Holly.." you asked, gently shaking her shoulders teasingly.
"You never told me Mr. Whatsit was *hot*" you smirked at her.
