Dawnkit -> Dawnpaw
Presumed StarClan member, former FernClan apprentice
Dawnpaw was the bravest and most adventurous in her generation of kits, often dragging Duskpaw, Icepaw, and Silverpaw along on expeditions out of the camp. This took a turn for the worse when she led Duskpaw and Silverpaw into a fox burrow by mistake, leaving them trapped. The two other apprentices were too shaken to explain what had happened, but, based on her remains and the orange fur stuck in her claws, the clan assumed that she had sacrificed herself to let the other two apprentices escape.
She has not been seen in StarClan by any living cats, nor will any other cat in StarClan comment on her whereabouts. However, it is not unheard of for young StarClan apprentices to not contact the living, so she is assumed to be somewhere in StarClan, exploring with the other young apprentices and living the life she was unable to live in the clans.

Mary -> Heatherpaw -> Heatherstripe
Warrior of FernClan, expecting queen of Stonefang.
As a kit, Hale brought Mary and her littermate Abigail to FernClan to experience clan life with their aunt Thistlefrost. While Hale and Abigail left again after a moon or two, Heatherpaw decided to stay in FernClan and train as a warrior. Heatherpaw was a difficult apprentice to Thistlefrost. Grumpy and generally unwilling to train, the young molly was not particularly well liked. She eventually became a warrior, mostly because it had been seven moons, and no one wanted to deal with her apprentice shenanigans anymore.
Upon becoming a warrior, Heatherstripe realized that she was not well liked at all within the clan. This was quite upsetting to the young warrior, who fled off towards the wilderness in despair. After Stonepaw was sent to find the errant molly, she came back to the clan with her tail and head held low. Since then, she has made a conscious effort to become a better warrior and a better cat, hoping to redeem herself to her clanmates.
As of late, she has been hanging around with Stonefang an awful lot, and the couple have a great dynamic with Heatherstripe’s good-spirited grumpiness and Stonefang’s endless enthusiasm. Though Heatherstripe has not announced that she is expecting kits yet, it is clear to everyone that she will soon move to the nursery.

Warrior of FernClan, mentor to Briarpaw
Icefeather is a strong warrior and a force to be reckoned with in battle, though if ever mentioned to her, she’ll lower her ears and mutter something about being embarrassed by all the attention. As an apprentice, she took the loss of Dawnpaw hard, striving to become stronger so next time, she could protect herself. Her and Duskpaw often butted heads, as her goal of protecting herself without help often clashed with his goal of protecting everyone, but there were no true hard feelings. She was offered the name of Iceblaze for her fierceness, but she declined and opted to be named for her feathery tail.
She’s far quieter and more reserved than one would expect from such a bulky warrior, but Icefeather wants to be known for more than her skill in battle. She enjoys staying around the nursery and telling stories to the kits or telling them of old clan lore. Abigail also enjoys spinning tall tales to the kits, so Icefeather spends a fair amount of time debunking her stories. No, if you eat a bird tail-first, you don’t suddenly grow talons, please, Goosekit, stop trying to make Creamkit do that.

Silverkit -> Silverpaw -> Silverflight
Warrior of FernClan, dam of Crowkit and Goosekit
Though a very experienced warrior, she is often mistaken to be a newer warrior. Silverflight struggles to make decisions, often getting hung up on little intricacies, even as small as which patrol path would be the most efficient. As such, she’s often delegated to following others and not making her own decisions. While she has a strategist’s mind, she’s also full of anxiety and can’t be counted on in crises. Although she was in the running for the name of Silverfrost, she proved too unreliable and was chosen to be named for her speed and agility. She is often involved in strategy meetings for the clan, but never for anything too short-notice or spontaneous, as she is absolutely no help then. As she is very good at ‘what-if’ situations, she is often chosen to give strategy lessons to apprentices and help them prepare for stressful situations.

Warrior of FernClan, former medicine cat apprentice
Despite being the former medicine cat apprentice, Spruceberry is rather… squeamish. Being able to clean wounds took a very long time, and he had received his full name before he was able to retrieve the bile from a mouse. He became the medicine cat apprentice to help his clan and become useful, however, he was not very well suited to the practice. Despite trying his best, he eventually decided to step down from his position and become a warrior. Though he doesn’t feel like he excels at that either, he’s quite determined to do his best. He’s a frequent and voluntary victim of border patrols, using the opportunity to gather herbs he recognizes and keep track of what’s growing where, much to the pleasure of Gingerpetal.

Frogkit -> Frogpaw -> Frogstep
Warrior of FernClan, mentor to Mistpaw
As a young cat, Frogkit was a magnet for trouble and very excited about that. He’s mellowed somewhat with age, though he’s still more enthusiastic than most apprentices. He spends a lot of time repairing the camp and has created a new weaving method with reeds and grasses to help uphold the structures. Every so often, he holds a workshop for the apprentices to learn how to weave, but the combination of his short attention span and antsy apprentices makes it very difficult for anyone to learn much from him. Recently, he was appointed as Mistpaw’s mentor, in an attempt to bring the younger tom out of his shell and to help Frogstep learn how to teach. Unfortunately, the two do not click very well, leaving Mistpaw on his own a lot as Frogstep runs off ahead to do whatever he wants.

Rosaline -> Rosewhisker
Senior warrior of FernClan
A former loner, Rosaline was found wandering the edges of the territory by Thistlefrost, and she was moved by the molly’s enthusiasm and decided to join the clan. As FernClan was still recovering, any warm body was considered the ideal warrior, and Rosewhisker was eagerly welcomed into the small clan. She quickly took to warrior life and settled down in the clans, often calming down the high-strung anxious Thistlefrost. Though seemingly a calm and level-headed warrior, when she was given an apprentice the night after a horrible storm, she lost any composure she had after losing her routine. Unknown to most cats, she was very particular and precise, even staying out late to make sure she brought back an even count of prey or spending extra time wiping her paws on wet moss just to make sure they were clean and that she wouldn’t bring the outside into her den. The storm had thrown her out of her routine and so had the sudden addition of Stonepaw and she struggled to get back into her routine. However, by training with Thistlefrost and Heatherpaw and working on rebuilding the camp regularly, she calmed significantly. While she enjoyed mentoring Stonefang, she has asked Thistlestar to not give her another apprentice as she didn’t prefer the chaos that came with the rambunctious youngster.
Over the moons, she has become tolerant of sudden change, though it will never be her favorite. Her clanmates help her out by making sure to let her know about anything that could throw off her routine, and Duskclaw always sends her out on the same time of patrol. Around seven moons ago, she moved into the nursery after having Barleykit and Briarkit (she hadn’t wanted to move dens before) and more recently, she had Eelkit and Creamkit. While the kits can be a pawful, they’re significantly tamer than Stonefang was and she enjoys caring for them, though she is also eager to return to her warrior duties and watch her kits grow into strong warriors (or medicine cats).

Medicine cat apprentice of FernClan, apprentice of Gingerpetal
Barleypaw has ended up with her life solely dedicated to becoming the best medicine cat she can be. While she chose to become the new medicine cat apprentice, she was a little unprepared for the amount of work that came with it. This led to her isolating herself from her littermate to focus on her difficult training. She has shown an affinity for caring for the small in-camp garden of herbs, spending much of her time carefully tending to the small plants and learning the properties of each one.

Medicine cat of FernClan, mentor to Barleypaw
Even from a young age, Gingerkit had no interests other than learning to become a medicine cat. Her dam, Snowstar, was overprotective of her and Ashkit due to losing their sibling, Blizzardkit. The two remaining kits were unable to explore and get into trouble like most kits, so they settled for bothering the warriors. Gingerkit spent most of her time in the medicine cat den with Spruceberry and Jayflower, learning anything she was allowed to. After a particularly difficult moon, Spruceberry decided to step down, leaving the medicine cat apprenticeship open to the newly-named Gingerpaw.
The young molly earned her full name in a time of sickness, finding a previously-unknown patch of herbs and working out how to solve the epidemic. She can be rather possessive over her stock of herbs, freaking out if any cat other than herself or Barleypaw even looks at them, and being wary of helping other clans if she feels there might not be enough herb stock to go around. Although both her mentor and apprentice were skilled with growing herbs, Gingerpetal found herself frustratingly lacking in that department, even the hardiest of plants wilting under her neglectful and challenged care. She is currently in the process of trying to train Barleypaw, though there’s struggle from both ends on that endeavor.

Duskkit -> Duskpaw -> Duskclaw
Deputy of FernClan, mentor of Pigeonpaw
Duskpaw and his littermate Dawnpaw were among the first generation born after FernClan’s reformation. They grew up hearing tales of the adventures and trials of rebuilding, but were disappointed by the realities of their apprenticeship, which was relatively standard and uneventful. One night, the littermates and Silverpaw went out exploring in hopes of making a new discovery and earning their warrior names. However, tragedy struck when they stumbled upon a fox burrow. Silverpaw and Duskpaw made it out relatively unscathed, but Dawnpaw was killed.
Duskpaw took his littermates death as a sign that he needed to be stronger so that no one would get hurt on his watch again. He began throwing himself into danger indiscriminately, much to the despair of his mentor Turkeyfang. However, the young tom did grow stronger and luckily, due to a growth spurt, much larger. He earned his warrior name defending the clan from a small fox, killing the predator and being named Duskclaw for his strength. On his trip to the Moonpool, he hoped to see Dawnpaw, but she did not appear to congratulate him on his promotion. Hurt and confused, Duskclaw’s ambition grew and he became determined to become deputy or even leader, just to impress his littermate enough to see her again.
Over the moons, he would occasionally sneak out to the moonpool in hopes of seeing Dawnpaw. He never did, and this still weighs heavily on him. When Thistlefrost saw the tom still mourning, she gave him Ashpaw to mentor. He taught the young tom to become a skilled warrior, and when Ashstorm earned his name, Thistlefrost realized that when she became leader, she would make Duskclaw her deputy. She did this, and on their first visit to the moonpool as leader and deputy, he realized that if becoming deputy was not enough for Dawnpaw to visit him, she was not intending on visiting him at all. Understanding this, he has decided to be the best deputy he can be, knowing that pushing for leader would be pointless.

Elizabeth -> Thistlepaw -> Thistlefrost -> Thistlestar
Leader of FernClan
A former kittypet, Elizabeth and her littermate Hale joined FernClan as it was attempting to recover from disaster. The newly named Thistlepaw and Smokepaw were both enthusiastic apprentices, though Thistlepaw often outshone her littermate. Before earning his warrior name, Smokepaw left to return to his kittypet life, leaving Thistlepaw feeling abandoned but even more determined to succeed than before.
The moons dragged on and Thistlepaw showed prowess in leading the younger apprentices in the dull camp-rebuilding chores and even on hunting patrols when the warriors were busy. She earned her warrior name after rescuing Sprucekit and Frogkit from a local rogue who had taken the two kits. A few moons later, Thistlefrost mentored the eager Frogpaw, who idolized her every move and gave her twice as much trouble as the average apprentice.
When the former deputy was killed, Thistlefrost was chosen to fill the position. She took to the position quickly and with ease, and when Snowstar passed away, she proudly took up the mantle of leadership. Although she has had a relatively uneventful leadership, Thistlestar feels pressure to continue rebuilding the clan and camp after Snowstar’s legacy, leading to somewhat stricter training and more time than average spent repairing fixtures around camp (much to the apprentices’ frustration). She also deals with her troublesome niece, Abigail, who likes to loiter around and cause minor disturbances every so often, and a mysterious prophecy from Gingerpetal that has set her on edge.
