Only a week had passed since the night at the docks, but Blake wasn’t able to get those few days out of her mind. She remembered the stunned look on Weiss’ face when she realized just what it was Blake had said. The hints of betrayal in those icy-blue eyes were as much a reason for Blake running as anything. She just couldn’t face that.
Now, things had settled, but Blake could still sense a tension between them–or at least, so she thought. She couldn’t be sure it was only her; she thought she could see strange looks from Weiss out of the corner of her eye sometimes, despite her claims that night that she didn’t care.. But it was soon to the point that Blake knew that she needed to talk it out, if only for her own sanity and comfort.
Her opportunity came not long after. Two weekends after the night at the docks, Ruby and Yang had left to meet with their father for the day, to catch up with him. That left Blake and Weiss alone, and when they were both settled in their dorm after supper that night, there was no better time.
Despite that, Blake was nervous. She wasn’t meant for confrontation. Her instinct screamed at her to run, to retreat until Weiss was asleep again. But there really wasn’t any other way to truly smooth things over, and they needed to work as a team–tension would only get in the way of that.
So, as Blake leaned on her arms on the window sill, bent over the small bookcase, and gazed up at the moon, she finally spoke. “Weiss… are you… really okay with–with me? My history…?”
@wcissschnee
Hunched over an open text book, Weiss couldn’t help chewing on her fingernails. Despite her convictions about being ahead of the material for the coming semester, her studies hadn’t been going as well as she’d hoped. In truth, the frustration currently causing her bad habit to flare up was the fact that she’d read this passage four times over now and had yet to retain any of the information.
She knew that it was because of Blake. The faunus - no, her teammate - had been restless this evening. Weiss was accustomed to her being antisocial, but it had bordered on cagey tonight at dinner, and since then she had been shifting continuously in her seat on her bed while reading before eventually abandoning her book and rising to stare out the window. Each sound elicited a glance from Weiss, who could feel the tension in her shoulder blades. In the silence that permeated the room otherwise (a rare thing produced by the absence of their other teammates) the small noises of Blake’s movement drew her attention every time.
Not that that was Blake’s fault, at least not entirely. Under normal circumstances, such trivial and minute disturbances wouldn’t have broken Weiss’ concentration at all. In fact, were it anyone else in the room producing the same noises, she probably wouldn’t have even noticed. But ever since their reconciliation on the docks, Weiss had been hyper-vigilant when it came to Blake. She couldn’t help it, not after everything that had happened.
Just as she tore her fingernail from between her teeth and set about attempting to read the passage for a fifth time, Blake actually spoke up. Turning fully in her seat to look at her teammate at the window, she noted Blake’s defensive choice to speak without turning around.
Weiss furrowed her brow at the question. She was prepared to answer almost instantaneously, but before she let it leave her lips, she took the time to ponder on why Blake was asking. Seconds stretched as Weiss’ gaze searched the back of Blake’s head before she finally responded. “Do you think I lied to you about that? Of course I am, idiot. What ever would have made you think otherwise?”
@ycngxiaolong and I made it to RTX :D
Weiss sat on the fence that encircled the training area outside the home she'd been sharing with her friends (and Qrow? (and Oscar? (and Ozpin?))) these last weeks, hands helping her balance on the wood on either side of her and feet dangling loosely as she looked out over the city of Mistral below. It wasn't quite sunset yet, but it was getting close, and the sky was a brilliant shade of orange behind her. She was certain the coming sunset would be quite beautiful, but this evening she turned her attention instead to the opposite side of the sky, watching the blues grow deeper and looking for the very first pinpoint of faint light in the growing darkness. She found the gradual transition calming, something she found herself seeking more often than not these days. They'd tasted victory of a sort, and things were better, but she was more familiar with the threat now as well. Not to mention the trip to Atlas that would be happening soon, looming over her psyche ever since it was discussed. She ran a thumb over where the scar on her stomach was, then traced the one across her eye with her other hand.
Suddenly, she felt something. Not from her scar, not from anywhere, just a small ping in the back of her mind. It was almost as though she'd heard something, but she knew that she hadn't. It was a familiar feeling, one that it had taken her months to identify and become comfortable with. The feeling of Blake's presence, when she wasn't trying to hide herself but wasn't trying to make herself known either. To think that she still felt it so easily and recognized it just as well after all this time. Fascinating.
"Would you like to sit?" she asked into the cooling air, trusting her teammate's keen hearing to pick it up. "It's a lovely evening."

Weiss traced the scar on her abdomen through the fabric of her dress. It had been two weeks since the defense of Haven, and despite her aura having fully healed the wound that same night, it still ached on and off. More problematic than the relatively minor pain was how it always brought thoughts of death, thoughts how narrowly it missed her. As Libra’s somber guidance settled in her mind, Weiss seemed to deflate a bit, sighing and keeping quiet for a moment in contemplation.
But only for a moment. The next minute, her jaw was set and she was practically glaring at the floor, determination clear. When she spoke, her voice had a razor’s edge. “I don’t have time for ‘eventually’. Salem isn’t going to wait for me to get over a wound that’s already healed, and my team needs me. I can still feel the spear sometimes, but it’s in the past. There’s nothing I can do to change it, and I refuse to let it distract me or slow me down. Maybe I should be dead, but I’m not, and as long as I’m still here, I’m going to fight.”
“it’s just a cut, really.” (fruitlovcd)
“Why does every single one of Blake’s faunus friends have to be insufferably stubborn?” Weiss asked no one in particular, rolling her eyes before fixing Lulu with a hard look. “Even if it IS just a cut, the fact that you sustained a cut in the first place means your aura is depleted. Without aura to accelerate the process, it won’t be closing on its own right away, and as such, the wound risks infection without proper care. As a huntress, I have training in field-dressing wounds, and they’re typically far worse than the one you’ve suffered. So… would you please just let me look at it already?”

Feeling Festive \(*q*)/ I wish you all a safe christmas and a happy new year~♥
@wcissschnee
"Ruby?" Weiss asked, gently grabbing her partner's elbow. "I have something I'd like to give to you. For the holidays. Could you come with me for a moment? It's upstairs and I wasn't sure how to wrap it."
Blushing lightly Ruby sheepishly running a hand into her hair. “Sure thing Weiss lead the way.” She takes the older girls hand.
After guiding Ruby up to the room she was staying in on the second floor, Weiss procured one of her few personal belongings that had survived the airship crash and the bandit kidnapping. Slowly unrolling the spare dress that she kept it wrapped in for protection, Weiss gently held out a long glass sculpture of a blooming rose, cut to look as though it was made of ice. Setting it upright on the shelf in front of the window, she stepped back to look at it with Ruby.
“When I was in Atlas, this was one of the most important things to me. I had it moved to the library so that I could see it when I needed it more often. It made me think of you, and that helped me make it through some of the worse days. I… well, stole it from my father’s house because I wasn’t sure when I’d see you again and I knew he’d never miss it. I want you to have it.”
The younger girls eyes widen from her partners actions a small gasp escaping her mouth gently taking the gift into her hands looking at it in awe, before gently placing it on the side table .“You have been stealing everything then Weiss including my heart.” A flush creeping along her face as she strokes the blue eyed girls cheek looking at her with as much love as she could muster. heart pounding in her chest she pulls out of her hip bag a small black pouch gently placing it into Weiss’s hands not breaking contact. “I really hope you like this i made it myself.”
Weiss felt heat flood her cheeks at Ruby’s words. “It’s not like I-” she began, only to cut herself off with a gasp at the light touch to her cheek. Their time apart had forced her to desensitize, to not think about Ruby’s touch lest longing for it drive her mad, but she craved Ruby’s affection just as much now as all those months ago. She pressed gently into Ruby’s hand, relaxing and letting her eyes drift closed.
Though, just a moment later, she opened them again as she lifted her hands to gently cup Ruby’s small parcel, looking into her partner’s eyes. “You… made it?” Carefully pulling open the strings on the pouch, she let the contents tumble into her hand.
Nodding to Weiss she gently bit her lip watching it slowly ascend out of the pouch. “Yeah along our journey… I found materials and we came upon a blacksmiths shop and I forged it I thought of you every night as I held it looking at the stars.” Ruby remembers looking at the flat heart shaped blue stone with a big W&R engraved the middle on the cool silver chain. “The stone reminded me of your beautiful eyes but looking now…. nothing can compare .” She let out a breath she did not know she was holding a blush intensifying on her face , her grip on Weiss’s hand tightens.
As she listened to Ruby’s words, eyes locked on the necklace, Weiss found it increasingly difficult to breathe. She’d received plenty of gifts before, probably even more than her share with the status she’d been born into. But never anything like this. When Ruby compared the stone to her eyes, she finally pulled her gaze from the pendant and let her pale blues meet her partner’s silver.
“Ruby, I… I don’t know what to say. It’s gorgeous. I love it. And I love you. Thank you.” Delicately lifting the silver chain from her palm, she held it out to Ruby. “Could you… help me put it on?”
Blushing as she leads the older girl to the long mirror mesmerized by her beauty. “I love you too also I thought you’d never ask.” She comes up behind Weiss unclasping the necklace and putting it on gently. As she moves her hair wrapping her arms around her bringing her lips to Weiss neck leaving a trail of scorching kisses and love bites.
Her heart pounding in her ears not believing her own actions as she longed for Weiss all those chilly nights. Feeling a fire inside her nuzzling into her beloved one running her hand in her long hair messing it up.
Weiss smiled into the mirror as Ruby secured the necklace for her, meeting her girlfriend’s eyes over her shoulder through the looking glass. The gentle touch of fingers on her neck sent a jolt of excitement racing down her spine, and she let her eyes drift closed at the feeling. “Ruby…” she crooned. Between Ruby’s beautiful gift and the small intimate gesture they were sharing, Weiss had rarely felt so loved. With her months in Atlas still fresh in her mind, Ruby’s affection felt almost otherworldly.
The next thing she knew, it wasn’t Ruby’s hand caressing her neck anymore. It was her lips, her tongue, her teeth. Weiss’ breath hitched and a full blown shiver retraced the path of the earlier jolt as Ruby’s arms slid around her middle. Ruby’s breath was so warm on her neck, and her arms were warm too. Everything was getting warm and Weiss was quickly returning to being short of breath. “Ruby…” she called again, aiming for a warning tone and missing by miles as Ruby’s lips grazed a particularly sensitive spot, one that made her voice waver and her knees weak.
When Ruby’s fingers threaded into long white hair and her face buried deeper into the crook of her neck, Weiss knew that this wasn’t going to stop on its own. Summoning as much focus and will as she could muster, she stepped forward, twisting out of Ruby’s embrace and spinning to face her. Her partner’s fingers tangled loosely in her hair, tugging her looped ponytail into a positive mess.
“Ruby!” she all but shouted, trying to make her message clear without drawing attention from the rest of the house. Her breath was fast and heavy, a deep blush having crept up from her chest all the way to her ears. “Why would you do that now, you dolt? Everyone else is waiting for us downstairs! Are you trying to prevent me from concentrating the rest of the day? Or do you want Yang to wonder why we’ve been gone so long and come walking in on us?” Truth be told, Weiss had had a dream to that effect, and not an unpleasant one, but she wasn’t Yang’s sister. She turned back to the mirror with a huff and crossed her arms, taking deep breaths to try to dissipate the warmth that still suffused every part of her. “I’ll have to fix my hair as well.”
Her face feels a flush each time she hears her partner say her name, feeling outta breath by the look of her disheveled hair. Ruby walks to her lovers side feeling more in control of her passions, it’s true she missed this woman . She loved her more then she could contain at times, and months had passed but now understands they now have all the time in the world together.
We have the evening for all sorts of adventuring but this hour , and at a party is not best also Yang did know I went to give Weiss her gift up here so she is right. Just thinking about anyone walking in makes me feel sad I only want to share private moments with the one I love not an audience. Uncle Qrow would never let me live it down if it was him and I would hide with my hood on forever. Looking at the shorter girl fixing her hair she knew. It’s worth the wait because her comfort is what matters most she is worth more then some dust fortune or a surname she is her tender, and strong Weiss. The way she looked as she drunk coffee ,sung in the shower and when they danced.
she gently reached put her finger under her Ice Angel’s chin. “I’m sorry… My sweetie just got lost in the moment would it be presumptuous if I ask for a single kiss more?” Flashing her honest simple smile with warm silver eyes with pure intentions, keeping her other hand at her back to make it clear she was in total control.
Weiss was nearly finished readjusting her ponytail when Ruby's fingers found her chin. She hadn't expected Ruby to recover her confidence quite so quickly after the admonishment, and her surprise resulted in a small gasp. Arms freezing in their motion, she turned her head to look up into her partner's eyes, expression unreadable at Ruby’s apology and request.
After a moment, that expression hardened into a scowl and Weiss jerked her head away from Ruby's hand with a huff, refocusing on the mirror to put the final touch on her hair. She smoothed her dress once, then turned to face her partner again, Ruby between her and the doorway. Without preamble, she lifted herself onto her toes to peck Ruby's lips with a swift kiss. Then, just as quickly, she brushed past her partner to make her way back downstairs. "Dolt."
