What if:

Rey was a Kenobi (Obi-Wan’s granddaughter).

This would enable the continuation of the important Kenobi vs. Skywalker dynamic: Obi-Wan vs. Anakin, Rey vs. Kylo-Ren, Light vs. Dark.

Except that this time Rey would do what Obi-Wan failed to do with Anakin: bring him to the light. It’s already evident these two have a deep connection to each other that we don’t know anything about, regardless (Reylo fans I know what you’re thinking ;) )They would have to team up in order to defeat Snoke. This is the only way to bring BALANCE. Light triumphing completely should not be able to bring that balance. There needs to be both kinds of the Force. Rey is the Yin to ‘Ren’s Yang.
