SAM AND HIS FUCKING JEALOUSY.
✩Part 1✩
Sam Wesson is one of the smartest 16 year old boys you could ever meet. Hardworking, polite, hospitable, amazing stamina, excellent at multitasking—but even he has his limits.
Of course Destiel exists in fanfiction, fanart, in fan interpretations. It exists in a billion different ways, and it will continue to exist. But the girl wasn’t asking whether fans are free to interpret the relationship however they want (which would be a pointless question anyway, because of course fans are free to do so, no matter what anyone says). Instead, she asked why the show doesn’t officially adopt the interpretation of one specific group of fans.
Jensen has said before that SPN “is an art form, and people are supposed to derive different things out of art, to be inspired differently. The show might mean something to one person but mean something completely different to another person. People look at it from different perspectives, which I think is phenomenal, I love that.” (JIBcon 2015)
Which makes it clear that he’s not invalidating any fan interpretations, including Destiel. But he’s also made it clear that he does not think “there’s anything secret going on between Dean and Cas” and that he certainly doesn’t play it that way (JIBcon 2014).
Like Dean tells Marie in Fan Fiction, “I have my version, and you have yours.” We all know what Jensen’s version is. Jensen – together with the writers – is one of the main storytellers of the actual text of the show. And he’s always been open about the fact that he’s telling the story as Dean seeing Cas like a friend, brother and comrade in arms. So asking him “Why don’t you start telling the story differently, why aren’t you telling it my way?” could only lead to the answer Jensen gave.
I know that the author is dead and authorial intent is no longer considered to be the main (if any) authority for a text. But that doesn’t mean the audience gets to harass the author and demand that he writes the text the way they want it to be written. Or explicitly ask him for his interpretation and then condemn him for it when it’s not what they wanted to hear. (And yes, I realize Jensen is not the only author of Dean Winchester, but at the very least he’s the only co-author who’s been there since the beginning.)
Winchester Badge Set COMPLETE. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to Heat of the Moment this week.
Yes it is, Jared! (July 19, 1982)
Have you ever met someone and found them so attractive that everything they do is beautiful. The way their nose wrinkles when they smile, the way their hips move when they walk, the way they lick their lips when they’re deep in concentration, the way their lips move as they talk. Everything they do brings beauty, and it’s captivating to watch.
“Oh, get away from me,” Jensen protests. As he drags his hand over Jared’s hand, stroking him from wrist to the very tips of his fingers.
“I wish he was a critic and not my brother (so I could sleep with him).”
Person: hey have you ever heard about this concept called "personal space"
Jared: [sitting in Jensen's lap, arms wrapped around his neck, their faces squished together] what's that

On the nature of “destihellers”:
Hellatus is approaching and the destihellers are already bitter. I have been observing and contemplating this lately as it has been ramping up as the season plays out with, once again, absolutely no signs of the “greatest love story [n]ever told”.
I have come to the realization that destihellers (aka the batshit 1% of the SPN fandom) “hate” Wincest/J2/bibro fans because they have what destihellers want. And by “hate” I really mean ‘are jealous of’.
Wincest is 99% canon: Sam & Dean are completely content and satisfied in their relationship with each other, they are soulmates. They have intimacy, trust, love, and companionship and, when they want sex, they find a one night stand because they don’t need anyone else outside of each other in any meaningful way.
(To clarify: yes, Dean cares about Castiel and calls him ‘family’, but he doesn’t love him, not when he easily and immediately sacrificed powerless Castiel’s safety for Sam’s [9.03]. Dean’s true north is set permanently at Sam, not even John or Bobby are equal to him. Only one person occupies that level: Sam; everyone else is lesser in Dean’s heart.)
So when destihellers call Sam “whiny”, it’s because they’re jealous that Dean only loves Sam. When they want Sam killed off, it’s because they’re jealous that Dean only loves Sam. When they want to see Sam develop a relationship with fill-in-the-blank character, it’s because they’re jealous that Dean only loves Sam. When they disparage Sam & Dean’s “codependent” enmeshed relationship, it’s because they’re jealous that Dean only loves Sam. When they call for a “healthy” relationship for Dean, it’s because they’re jealous that Dean only loves Sam.
When destihellers cry about “representation”, it’s because their ship is 0% canon. When they twist and spin and “[mis]interpret” and attempt to “debunk”, it’s because their ship is 0% canon. When they attack/pester/demand/dogpile the actors/writers/producers/directors, it’s because their ship is 0% canon.
J2 is 100% real: Jared & Jensen are best friends. They moved in next door to each other, they go on vacations together, they’re raising their families together, they do all their convention panels together, they spend 98% of their time together. In fact, it’s only a couple of days into the filming hiatus and Jensen has already posted a photo of him and Jared hanging out together.
So when destihellers call Jared “problematic”, it’s because they’re jealous that Jensen likes him best. When they try to insult Jared’s acting, it’s because they’re jealous that Jensen likes him best. When they sneer about the ads he’s done, it’s because they’re jealous that Jensen likes him best. When they try to diminish AKF, it’s because they’re jealous that Jensen likes him best.
When destihellers whine that Misha “deserves” to be Jensen’s BFF, it’s because cockles is 0% real. When they complain that Jared is “inserting” himself into Jensen and Misha’s ‘friendship’, it’s because cockles is 0% real. When they pay for embarrassingly shippy photo ops, it’s because cockles is 0% real. When they call J2 a “PR” friendship, it’s because cockles is 0% real.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I fucking LOVE this post. Bless the person who had sat down and wrote this out PERFECTLY, you beautiful soul.

There is just something about these quiet, intimate moments between the brothers.
Dean’s horrible at proposing.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I literally cannot get over these two. I mean in the first gif they hug each other with one arm over and one arm under, this was when they reunite after some time. But in the second gif Dean pretty much just grabs Sam and hugs him around the neck, just needing to feel his brother alive after Sam being in Purgatory.
#so in this scene dean is hitting on the waitress trying to look all alluring and shit#but look at that little shit in the background
