OK CRACK THEORY TIME

I was rewatching the Weston adaptation and there's something strange about the whole Claudia thing and then the fact that on two separate occasions Undertaker says "I knew you'd protect the earl" like, of course he knew, Sebastian is bounded by contract to protect Ciel above anything else, but BUT

What if this isn't the first time Undertaker had to deal with the demon with a Phantomhive?

Ciel says that he never got to know Claudia, and it's strange enough that Undertaker has a locket with her hair, so we know for sure that Undertaker feels strongly about her (and about Phantomhives in general). I know that it's theorised that Undertaker is Ciel's grandpa and stuff but but but, that would mean that Vincent and Francis are half-shinigamis? Nah.

What if Claudia had a contract with a demon and Undertaker tried to talk her out of it? He fell in love and saved the piece of hair before her soul was eaten, and promised to take care of her kids. He can't bring her back, he can't bring Vincent back, but he had time to save real Ciel and now he's somehow trying to do the same for our Ciel?

Does that make sense or...?

The idea of Ciel being this poor innocent child who is just a victim of his evil butler is SO funny to me.

Yeah, his stories a tragedy. Shit has happened to him. But even sebastian is shocked and impressed by how fucking evil this kid is. Hell, when he first tried to trick Ciel into breaking the contract he was in AWE over how revenge driven and he is. That boy wants BLOOD.

He murdered a bunch of kids and blew up the place to cover his tracks cause he was having a PTSD episode.

He was fucking cackling during the whole debacle with tricking his friends into joining a boy band so the opposition would hurry up and murder someone.

He's a sadistic little shit as well, needlessly playing mind games with everyone he meets. He casually joked about killing his favourite author to his face after framing a guy for murder in the most dramatic and entertaining fashion possible.

I mean, a kid at school tried to bully him, and he DESTROYED his reputation.

At age 10, he was already trying to torture and piss off a literal demon as much as possible.

He treats sebastian like a dog. For fun.

Sebastian is a pawn, and yeah, he'll encourage the ideas that are more likely to give him a tasty meal. But 90% of the time, Ciel is already going for it.

When I first watched hannibal I remember disliking s3 so much, now I appreciate it but the first chapters go too slow for my taste.

However, I'm quite enjoying how everyone but Will has a personal vendetta against Hannibal and they're trying to kill him while Will is like 🥺🥺🥺

Have you guys ever thought about how in the earlier chapters, whenever Ciel gets out of or onto horse carriages, he doesn't ask for assistance nor does Sebastian offer him any? He can do that himself.

my favourite headcanon about fusions (whether potara or metamoran) is that whenever they do it and then get separated it, they kinda miss being together? which would explain why goku's kinda clingy towards vegeta after they get separated inside buu's body(? and if we take as an example goten and trunks, who are super besties and they are not oblivious/tsunderes like their dads, it would also explain why they're always so eager to fuse, cause they like the connection

Ok so I've just finished "The Madman's Tale", written by John Katzenbach and I'm in teaaaaaars.

It took me three months actually to finish reading it because, just as it happened to me with "The Analyst", I was very invested at the beginning but then had like a reader block at the middle of the book so I stopped reading for weeks but then decided to finish 200 pages in less than a week :D But it's such a wonderful book! I've enjoyed it a lot, there are things such as the descriptions of how harsh the world is for people with mental illness that were incredibly well done, or the beauty and pure nature of the friendship between Francis and Peter that definitely were the reason why I loved it so much.

(Spoilers ahead)

Now, all the last part, where they catch the killer were amazing, every single sentence got me at the edge of my seat, even though I have to admit that I was kind of frustrated because I kept reading and I didn't have a clue who the killer was. But all in all, wonderful.

As for the end, I'm kind of sad that we couldn't see more interactions of Francis with the brothers or Lucy before his suicide attempt, but it made me so glad when they established that they all have been keeping an eye on him 🥺💖

And even though it makes me sad to know that Peter died, I also think it's kind of fair, which doesn't erase the fact that in my head he lived and after Francis got out of the hospital, they kept on seeing each other regularly(?

But anyways, it's a wonderful book and I wanted to share my thoughts with someone 💖
