Found this in my notes:
Tommy goes to Eddie for drugs after days of being on edge because of Billy's death, but Munson sees the guy distressed and will not sell Tommy anything, at least it is under Eddie's supervision. Hagan begrudgingly accepts, so they end up in the metalhead room.
When drugs kick in, Tommy bursts into tears, crying uncontrollably and screaming. It's awful and awkward, but Eddie stays by his side, ensuring Tommy feels somewhat accompanied. Eventually, the weeping subsides, and Hagan tells him about how he didn't make it to the funeral because of a fucking family trip and how furious and alone he feels because he can't stand anybody or himself. Carol wasn't around anymore, and Hargrove -even still an asshole- was getting better. He misses the motherfucker.
Munson nods and says nothing. Hagan is grateful for that.
Later, when he leaves the trailer park, Tommy feels... not okay, but something like that. The metalhead watches him go and hopes the guy makes it through the grieving because Eddie knows that Hargrove was something.
