Biden to expand Affordable Care Act enrollment amid COVID-19 in new executive order

President Joe Biden will tackle the issue of health care Thursday with two executive actions aimed at expanding enrollment for the Affordable Care Act amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and addressing reproductive health, according to the White House. The actions continue a series of executive moves by Biden in his first week in office, setting an ambitious tone for his administration on a number of policy areas.   On Thursday, Biden is expected to sign an executive order that will open a special enrollment period amid the pandemic that has already claimed the lives of nearly 430,000 Americans, according to a fact sheet outlining Biden's planned actions.   Through the executive order, the Department of Health and Human Service is expected to open a three-month enrollment period from Feb. 15 to May 15, on Healthcare.gov, allowing more Americans to sign up for health care as COVID-19 continues to engulf the country. The biggest “winners” during this craze have been GameStop, up 1,745% for 2021 through Jan. 27, and AMC Entertainment, which has popped a more modest 839%. There are many others listed, below. There is more than one way to list short squeezes. Before moving to the lists, here are three definitions: Advertisement Short selling is when an investor borrows shares and immediately sells them, hoping to buy them back later at a lower price, return them to the lender and pocket the difference. American Airlines stock surged more than 50% in pre-market trading at one point Thursday after the company reported a $2.2 billion loss for the fourth quarter. American Airlines beleaguered stock surged Thursday morning, building on the momentum retail traders created that has carried Grapevine-based GameStop on a ridiculous run. Shares of Fort Worth-based American traded 20 to 50% higher in pre-market trading, even after the company reported a $2.2 billion loss for the fourth quarter and an $8.9 billion loss for the coronavirus-ravaged 2020. But a revolt against short sellers on Wall Street has turned some struggling stocks into popular underdogs, led by GameStop’s one-week stock run that has sent the stock surging by nearly 1000%. Much of that started with a group on the popular social media site Reddit called WallStreetBets that began taking aim at short sellers that users claimed were intentionally driving down the price of stocks for a profit. A handful of companies such as AMC, GameStop and Blackberry have seen a surge in stock prices after retail stock traders took up the cause. Apparent Verizon Fios outage takes services offline for users in the northeastern United States

An apparent widespread Verizon Fios outage is affecting users up and down the east coast of the United States this afternoon. This outage is preventing Fios users from accessing popular services such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Meet, and there is no timetable for when the issues might be resolved. Verizon Fios outage Affected Verizon Fios users have taken to Twitter to complain about the outage. The first reports appear to have surfaced around 11 am ET. According to DownDetector, the outage is affecting locations in the northeast United States, including Boston down through Washington D.C. Verizon has not yet confirmed an outage via its “Service Outage Information” website. Instead, it simply tells users that “We are not detecting outages in your area.” On Twitter, however, Verizon Support indicated that “there is a fiber cut in Brooklyn,” and there is no timetable for a fix. The reports on DownDetector indicate that users are having significant issues accessing Google services, Zoom, Amazon, Robinhood, and more. What’s important to keep in mind is that it does not appear that these services themselves are experiencing issues. Larry King Dies at 87

Legendary talk show host Larry King dead at 87 LOS ANGELES — Larry King, the legendary talk show host known for his distinct interview style and who captivated audiences for decades with his discussions with dignitaries, celebrities and the everyday person, has died. He was 87.   His death was confirmed by Ora Media, a company King helped found. “For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry’s many thousands of interviews, awards, and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster,” the company said in a statement. “Larry’s interviews from his 25-year run on CNN’s ‘Larry King Live,’ his Ora Media programs ‘Larry King Now,’ and ‘Politicking with Larry King,’ are consistently referenced by media outlets around the world and remain part of the historical record of the late 20th and early 21st centuries.”   No cause of death was given, but earlier this year King was hospitalized with the coronavirus. He had suffered various ailments in recent years.   In 2019, King, who hosted “Larry King Live” on CNN for 25 years, had an angioplasty and also suffered a stroke. King revealed in 2017 he had been treated for lung cancer. He suffered a major heart attack in 1987 and a tumor was discovered during an annual checkup. Bağdat da Hain Terör saldırısı 32 Ölü ve 110 yaralı

Irak Başkenti olan Bağdat Tayaran da ard arda İntihar saldırıları düzenli. Bağdat şehrinde yapılan bu saldırılar Tayaran meydanının farklı yerlerinde gerçekleşti. Bağdatta olan patlamalarda 32 kişi öldü ve 110 kişi yaralandı Patlamalar Irak ın Bağdat şehrinde Tayaran meydanın bulunan bir pazar yerinde gerçekleşti Terör saldırısında bulunanların iki kişi olduğu ve intihar bombacısı olduğu söyleniyor. Kabalık olan pazar yerinin daha önceden bir çok terör örgütü tarafından hedef aldığını biliniyor El KAHiDE terör örgütününde Bağdat şehrinde daha önceden bir çok kanlı eylemi olmuştu.  Teröristlerin Kime bağlı oldukları şuan için bilinmiyor yapılan açıklamada. Bağdat ta Terör saldırısı Bağdatta patlayan bombaların İki kişi tarafından Irak Bağdat şehrine bağlı Tayaran meydanın pazar yerinde yapıldığı. Terörislerden birinin hasta gibi davranıp milleti etrafına topladıktan sonra bombayı patlattıyı. İkinci teröristtinse Bomba patladıktan sonra gelen kalabalığı hedef aldığı ve ikici bombayı patlattığını ilettiler..
