Luis was so glad to be so close to Elena again. She had been the one thing to keep him alive through everything her creator put him through. “I thought he killed you. He had no reason to keep me around if you were gone.” Now, he had no idea why he was brought to Bloodborne. It just didn’t make sense. “No, Elena. He might be watching me to find you.” He just wanted her to be safe, not even thinking that she had no idea what had happened to him for those couple years.

“No, Luis, I haven’t even seen him since that night,” she whispered, keeping her voice low as they spoke. She slowly pulled back, just enough to get a good look at him. “If that were the case, he’d already have found me. I’ve been here for weeks, most of it spent down here looking for you.” Without waiting, she waved over a guard to open his cell, immediately giving him a proper hug once the barrier was removed. “I’m renting you for the next few days, just something to keep you safe until we figure out a plan of action. No argument.”

Elena frowned, wondering why he continued not to respond. “Can you not hear?” she finally asked, signing along with the question. It wasn’t asked in any harsh manner. One of her own uncles was deaf, hence her comprehension of sign language. “Because I can totally start over for you,” she added, still signing.
