omg i found this video on youtube called “elk hunting chihuahua” and the guy is like “make sure you have a good hunting dog” and just opens his backpack to reveal his lil chihuahua named coco and tells us how amazing she is at hunting

and then he just whips her out and says “you gotta have one of these things, they can track, and they’re just the best hunting dogs in the world” and that was the whole video and honestly i’ve never wanted a chihuahua more in my life

Tarzan presenting Sabor's body to Kerchak is a really big deal. For anyone who knows anything about social animal behavior, bringing a dead intruder, while disgusting to us humans (me, especially) is a gift and sign of respect. Tarzan doesn't care about all the kudos from the rest of the gorillas. It's all about proving himself to his foster father. I've observed this type of behavior among my cats and dog.

Many don't catch this because Kerchak doesn't become instantly warm and fluffy but this is actually the moment he fully accepts Tarzan. I would even argue this is when he chooses him as his successor. Later, when they're arguing over whether they can trust the humans or not, Kerchak orders Tarzan to stay away from them and to protect their family. Meaning, he now expects this of Tarzan specifically. After Tarzan sneaks the humans in and he and Kerchak fight about it, Kerchak expresses disappointment but *never* exiles him. He's even clearly pleased when Tarzan returns home to them.

This is why during the Legend of Tarzan animated series that followed up from the film, Tarzan refers to Kerchak as his father and constantly strives to live up to his leadership.
