hey so this post is good but is missing the context that Lilly Wachowski and her sister Lana Wachowksi are both trans and the directors of the matrix, which is popularly read as being a metaphor for being trans.
The “Fuck both of you” is not just a person being mad at assholes on the internet, it’s the creator of a work being mad at assholes on the internet for misinterpreting their art to be the total opposite of what it’s meant to be.

BIRDIE OMFG YOU CAN'T HIDE THIS IN THE TAGS
Fun fact, The Questing Beast of Arthurian Legend is the result of people attempting to describe what a giraffe was, then being explained and drawn by people who have never actually seen it.
The Questing Beast was said to have a head and neck of a snake (long neck), body of leopard (coat pattern), hind legs of a lion (tufted tail) and feet of a deer (”hooves:).
I’m having emotions at this artwork. It’s caught between fright and awe; fascination and fear.
Behold, a unicorn.
He got two horns tho

*music starts back up*
BEHOLD, A UNICORN
So the subtitles are great, but they have nothing on the accents and delivery like something out of a 1930s noir detective film

god i love Katara because she’s both incredibly compassionate and Big Mad And Ready To Fight, & those two (seemingly very different) things come from the same place!
her anger comes from her deep well of compassion and empathy; she cares so deeply, burningly much about people that she can’t let unfairness or injustice stand.
I really really like that because we too often think of love as a passive thing, and think that loving people need to be soft and unaggressive and gentle. But Katara? Katara sees love as an action, love as a force that motivates change and justice, love as a thing that requires fighting what’s cruel or unfair.
anyways i think that’s a neat message in a world that really needs active love!
i really think you can do worse as a motto than “what would katara do” because sometimes the answer is “offer deep love, compassion, and healing to those around you” and sometimes the answer is “challenge yr teacher to a fistfight out back of the school for being sexist.”
Me: Oooo, rocks on my dash? Yes please
Me a second later:
now my blog is this color and y'all have to deal with it :)
why don’t you look at some baker-miller pink and then maybe you’ll calm down
not to be too serious on a haha funney meme post, but it’s literally just sexism! surprise surprise, the info quoted here is from a study performed in 1980 on almost exclusively male participants. this study’s findings have never been replicated when women were included. I wonder why men in hyper-macho environments would have such a visceral reaction to being exposed to feminine-coded colors. hmmmm. guess it must just be a magical effect that applies to all humans on earth
that football coach did this because he thought pink was a “sissy color,” and when the Maricopa County jail tried painting their cells this way, violence actually increased. their new plan? forcing prisoners to wear pink underwear. so painting jails like this was literally just about making sure the (male) prisoners knew they were being seen as feminine/gay.
tl;dr this isn’t magic, it’s just ingrained sexism/homophobia. plus the study’s super outdated

I have never seen Islam shown so humanized, so relaxed, so innocent and pure. That’s brilliant and funny.
This feels like the equivalent of the school girl running to class with toast in her mouth but prayer
You all deserve to know dude in the foreground is Jewish, and has done his own version of this with Chanukah where he’s literally just. Running out the door reciting his prayers in Hebrew and it’s wonderful
Here’s the Jewish version
This is the Muslim/Jewish solidarity we need LMAO
If you’re wondering, the Shema is 100% not the correct prayer in the Jewish one, but it’s said so often that there’s an additional joke in the Muslim roomie knowing that is NOT an appropriate placement for the Shema 😂😂
