if youre not black especially a black american, you should not be using the term amerikkka/amerikkkan. point blank period. appropriating 'woke' as a shorthand perjorative or in the case of 'progressive' whites/non blacks as a funny memey term to classify 'anything republicans don't like' was bad enough. but the fact that there are namely non black people using this term created by black americans SPECIFICALLY referencing an AMERICAN white supremacist terrorist organization that SPECIFICALLY TARGETS BLACK AMERICANS to refer to indigenous and black people in the US in your argument to claim that people colonized in this country are just as imperialistic as the white europeans that invaded this land and their descendants is a new level of racist ignorance. y'all are actually the turbo hitlerites believe it or not.

the thing about discomfort is that it's an extremely nebulous category that can be triggered by virtually anything and that's far too broad a category to have any inherent moral quality to it. like. my mom was mad uncomfortable when I stopped shaving. that didn't mean I was doing violence against my mom it just meant she needed to get over herself. many such cases it must be said.

About 10 years ago a person named Devon Marie Machuca (aka Ender Darling) was arrested for stealing (and selling) human remains from a Black majority cemetery in New Orleans. They would end up serving 2 months.

Holt Cemetery is what's called a potter's field. It is a cemetery that caters to the poorest of the poor, people whose families are unable to pay for the burial of their loved ones. This cemetery is in use today, and the majority of people buried there are impoverished Black people.

Desecrating Black corpses is not funny. Selling pieces of deceased human beings is not funny. I understand that this story is a piece of tumblr lore, but this is not a hee ha silly story. Those were real human beings. People with family and friends who mourned their deaths. People who were too poor to be buried anywhere else, and were instead brought to Holt Cemetery.

Have some respect for the way you talk about the deceased. You and I both know that if this person stole remains from some frufru white cemetery that the reaction would be very different.

Act better.

hi im not like tryna put u on blast here but ur one of over a dozen white people leaving tags like this on this post and im tryna make sure yall understand these phrases above are not inherently denouncing being soft or feminine or implying a higher level of beastness….like its the very opposite…..outsiders who are nonblack are assigning aggression or dominance and animalistic qualities to phrases like “on fleek”the proper response to that is not to go “yeah fuck that im a hairy monster in the swamp!” the proper response is “hey, these phrases are coined by black women and all they mean is feeling good about ones self and staying true to yourself / ur values and desires” when a nonblack assigns hostility and vitriol to aave u should not retort with “YEAH! i am nasty and aggressive!!!” bc they are only assigning such things bc they see blackness as inherently below them

something not being said in bad faith doesnt remove the racism from it, there is no miscommunication, you can say things that are harmful without intending to, and pointing out how unintentional statements can cause harm actively makes ppl question and change their behavior thats like, common sense…..

the idea of purity being linked to whiteness is an intentional aspect of white supremacy, aave gets coopted often and then mocked / devalued after nonblacks cannibalize it specifically because of white supremacy, it is not an accident that this frequently only happens with phrases and words coined by black people, if purity and feminity and docilness is linked to whiteness what does that mean for anything linked to blackness?

puritanism in america is linked to white christian values, that is not an accident this stuff does not exist in a vacuum u cannot tackle conversations about purity and defining “womanhood” without touching on race, these are not seperate topics you should try not to talk to black people commentating on this like we don’t understand our own oppression
