For real, the days I release videos feel like Christmas when I was 8 and I knew I was getting new clubs!!! It feels so incredible to finally get to show everyone what I have been putting all my energy into for so long! There were so many times when shows were taking all my time and I did feel like I had the energy to finish the whole thing. I'm so happy I finally made it to the end and have a project I'm super happy with! Huge thanks to Florence, Jay, Tony, and Patrik for your help and advice with the video!
LOVE!!!!!

in 4 hours and 30 minutes
10 month later, on to the next notebook.
I couldn't sleep last night after the show and I realized that everything I had been doing the last few weeks was just filming stuff I had made ages ago or just importing and organizing files. I hadn't made any funny catches and stupid multiplexes in a while and I missed it. I wanted to do some juggling that didn't have to be anything or fit anywhere. Just fun stuff that I liked to do. I don't think it turned out to be cohesive or a good artistic expression beyond what I felt would be nifty at the time but it was fun and had a couple cool moments I thought you might like! The video is almost done but the place I need to film the last couple sections has a fucked up light that's flickering and makes anything you film look terrible. As soon as they fix that I'm off and running! Got the intro filmed and edited and a good idea of how to shoot the credits! Progress is progressing!
Everything's going to be okay!
One more section done! waiting a few days for some props to come then back to shooting!
filming this in 90-degree heat was almost as clever as making juggling that I couldn't do with sunglasses on!
Update!
Working every day on the video for the last three weeks. Hopefully done before death does us part. 🌈
100
Wrote 100 tricks between last night and today! If exactly half of them work that's 50 tricks!
I'm so bored of editing though O.o tedious af. Gotta go back to imovie for the next big project or hired Jackson Ford to edit for me.
Video Title
over 300 video title ideas and still don't have one I'm sure of. LAME!
I'll have a text document that comes with that video that'll include all the video titles that I didn't go with. Then if you don't like the title you can just call it one of those!
Time
Little fun fact, if you throw a ball pretty damn high so it takes a full second to come down to your hand again it's going 22 kph when it hits your hand. Also, the video has progress. Edits are happening. Tricks are being written. But damn, I realize now that in throw joy it was genius for the length of the video to have the tape shape sequences. That filled like 15 minutes with dope stuff and didn't take hours to get every tricks. Trick and pattern edits take so long to film and you only get like 3 minutes 30 for every 40 tricks.
100% my mood! This has definitely been the most efficient week for the video ever in terms of just getting the damn tricks on the dang camera. I filmed for two days outside for one of the three ball sections. That shit is looking awesome and I have time on Monday to go finish it up. I think I have about 12 tricks left to film for that. For the past 3 days I have been filming club and ring shnizel in the racquet ball court. Incredibly comfortable compared to looking into the wind and having the sun blow your camera over. I just have 4 more tricks for that section till I'm done. I have some editing ideas for how to make the court interesting as a location so everyone just chill out! I'm so relived to have these two sections done soon. I'm leaving for a month to NYC in a week and won't have time or space to film there. I was worried I would have to come back and re learn all the tricks ages from now. Now I can just edit during that trip and hit the studio again when I come back. Just bought some new props for the video as well! Excited to flex some comedy juggling ideas when I'm back! I wrote out the sections I have and their lengths plus the ones that I still need to shoot and their estimated length and it's about 50 minutes! Getting there!
The assistant director of the new video
Good evening, I shall!
filming tomorrow!
there's gonna be sun and i've got my 40 tricks ready to go! my new jam is to put all shitty phone clips of the tricks that will be in the next section into final cut pro and edit them into a rough sketch of what the real deal is going to be. usually, when i do this i end up seeing some tricks i have missed or if the section doesn't have enough changes in concept to keep it interesting.
A lot of the sections i have planned for the video i think have really interesting ideas with the juggling and when you watch it you get how it's new and cool stuff but juggling like that is always so hard to describe. It's the classic problem of when the uber driver asks what you juggle and when you say balls, clubs, and rings they almost fall asleep at the wheel. My plan today is to do it backward and write a video description of something that sounds dope and easy to understand through text and then make juggling to back it up.
we'll see how stupid that idea is soon! yolo
