Love In Vain - Robert Johnson

I felt like I needed to include a blues track somewhere, though I have found it hard to walk that fine line between depressing and sad in the genre, however I feel that Robert Johnson wrote the perfect track for this, and of course it wouldn't be a true @uomminecraftsociety post if it didn't include trains. This track is probably best known as a Rolling Stones cover but I find this version better.

Love in Vain is a track about a loved one leaving on a train. The narrator still holds feeling for the person, however the person in the question does not feel the same way. The melody is rather simple, with a regular percussive sound running through, imitating the chug of a train. This adds a bit of a lighter tone compared to your typical blues track however it still holds a certain degree of sadness.

First one was done sometime in 2018.

After Tennocon 2019 I had outlined a story for these comics and even have one or two pages that never made it out of the rough sketch stage. But as with all things related to untreated ADHD I didn't do further progress on those, and stopped playing altogether in 2021.

Also these became very popular to the point I was feeling a lot of anxiety before posting them. And of course, brought all the annoying things that are brought with virality within a (relatively) small niche community.

Yet during Tennocon 2019 a few devs recognised me just by name which was VERY surreal and I'm still wondering if that actually happened haha. And it was all because of these little comics :>

I wasn't using tumblr as much back then so I don't know if these did well here.
