Kim shrugged. The alcove was a usual haunt of her’s ‘I’m just– clearing my head I suppose.’ She turned to face him, cigarette at the ready, and examined him with a subtle eye. He was a young man. Attractive… Not that it mattered, the age difference was notable. Thus was the desperate thought entertained by a lonely woman.
