This is me saying the word "exciting" during our group's Facebook Live chat tonight. The chat was entitled "MONTH END MAGIC (with wine)" because on the last night of any month I love to hang out online with my team and celebrate the previous month while looking forward to the month ahead. Today was a rough day, one in which I wondered if this work is worth the day to day hustle and bustle and then I remembered how rare and special it is to get to do work that you love and this really is work that I love. Every. Single. Time. I put my face out there I'm scared. All these horrible phrases start circling around in my head. "Who does she think she is?" "She thinks she's something special." "You're very conceited." "Amy is a geek!" (That last one written in red pen on a note that was handed right past my face in the seventh grade.) Why am I telling you this? Because I'm scared and doing it anyway. Because I love helping other people and teaching women. Because you might look at a photo like this and think that I think I'm hot shit and I want you to know that's not who I am at all. Sometimes it's true, you've gotta fake it til you make it.
