So here’s why I personally want Cara Dune to be straight and I ship her and Mando:
She is pretty much the main female in the show in terms of screen time and she is:
Her boobs are put away but she’s STILL feminine. Who knew that was possible??? (Not most men)
Mando is NOT PUT OFF BY THIS. his masculinity is not so fragile that he has to challenge her to a rematch or be upset at all, he invites her to lunch! He also doesn’t try to seduce her either. This point has a more to do with Mando than Cara... anyway she doesn’t do the Hate or Mate trope either.
He gets knocked out SHE FREAKING DEAD LIFTS HIM IN HIS STEEL ARMOR AND TOWS HIM TO SAFETY. YOUR SKINNY GIRLS COULD NEVER.

She shields him with her body. He lays there looking up at her with (what I imagine) heart eyes because this big buff beautiful woman just saved his twinky self.
And that’s what relationships SHOULD be born of!!! MUTUAL RESPECT AND DEEP CARING FRIENDSHIP!!!!
So please let me see a woman be both pretty and strong and get the hot little feminist twinky man if she wants him, and not just be relegated to the trope of buff=butch lesbian background character. (Sorry, I have no idea if the word butch is frowned upon, not intended to offend) show me that it’s not just skinny=straight or skinny=pretty or buff=gay or buff=masculine but women can be ANY combination of things!
So far Cara is beautiful, feminine, buff, strong, respected by the men around her, as of yet seemingly sexually neutral- they haven’t put her in bed with anyone to prove her orientation either way, she’s not relegated to certain tasks because she’s a woman, she’s not had to seduce anyone to do her jobs. SHES A GREAT CHARACTER!! So whichever team she plays for is lucky indeed. And we’re lucky to be able to makeup our own head canons on the subject since nothing is confirmed or denied.
Give me buff female role models and feminist men who love them.
And ALSO give everyone else what they want too because that would be nice. Don’t take something away from someone else just so I can have it.
