do u think using ai to plan writing would be ok??

i wanna start writing a book and i have a plot, characters, setting and stuff… i’m just stuck on a proper storyboard (chapters, scenes, etc)

I feel like this is something that you have to decide for yourself because 1. it’s your work 2. I am a stranger. not everything needs to be influenced by opinions of strangers on the internet and I feel like this is one of them. I will assume you know how and why ai can be harmful to some, as convenient and useful as it can also be to others, and maybe you’re asking this for me to either tell you “it’s okay to do whatever you want because it’s no one’s business but your own’s” or “no no no, ai is bad”. but, with all due respect, sometimes we have to make our own decisions without strangers telling us what to do or what not to do. you don’t need my blessings, you don’t need me to stop you from using ai. I may or may not agree with your choice, but ultimately it’s your work, your decision.

I’m going to say this very nicely despite my soul screaming like a seagull. Ok. We are not using ai for any part of the creative process, we can use it at most for finding grammatical errors, it does dumb labor, not creative labor.

What you’re going to do is get the book “Save the cat!” And you are going to take it as gospel, it came from a burning bush or it was inscribed on stone tablets by the finger of god- I strongly believe it is a necessity for every writer and if you only ever educate yourself with one book it should be this one. I swear it has every answer.

It's so funny to me that Mary Shelley, her husband, John Polidori, and Lord Byron had a competition to see who could write the best horror story and she wrote fucking Frankenstein. Imagine losing a competition that badly. Imagine just doing a silly little competition with your friend and she basically invents a new genre and creates one of the most famous characters in fiction. Imagine being proud of your little story and then she shares one that people will still read every day in 200 years. Imagine doing a writing competition with your wife and she becomes so recognizable that you'll always be known as Mary Shelley's husband

I can’t- I physically cannot start watching the new Stranger Things episodes until they are all released and I can get a gentle spoiler of who I have to prepare to lose.

I hate entertainment lately, I get so stressed about it. Like at the theater before infinity war and endgame even started my fit bit alerted me my heart rate was over 120 just sitting through previews!! And ever since then I feel physical pain about watching new things, who are they going to make me fall in love with and then torture mercilessly?
