Brand Spanking New Year
Many of us can post about how much 2014 sucked. Blah, blah, blah! Believe me I thought I was about to board that train to whiney town. It seems that all I do is think about the negativity.
But I will be focusing on the positivity and creativity in my future. Not just for the new year but the rest of my life. I want to keep myself healthy, emotionally and physically. A bright outlook that will bring me to a happier resolution for years to come.
I really hope everybody has a great day tomorrow and the year to come. Happy New Year!
Positive Attitude - Is That You? Most days many of us wake up to just get through another day. I woke up yesterday, and took my time cleaning my room, and getting ready for work, all at the same time. I got to work and I felt like I was really happy.
It's been a while that I'd felt such a thing. Like nothing could touch me. It wasn't like I had a new man in my life, or won the lottery. But I felt, just as good.
I realized, I needed to wake up every morning with a positive outlook like this and I would be happier. All of my coworkers could see it and they loved it. I was happier and so was everybody else. Nothing bothered me through the day.
P.S. I even got pulled over by the cops last night on my way home and he just wanted to let me know I didn't have my headlights on. Oops!
Where Have I Been?
I've been MIA for a little while now. I know that this is just my instagram feed nowadays. But there's been a lot going on with me lately.
Follow along with me to focus on my positivity and creativity in my life. Kind of like my diary, but out here in cyberspace so anybody in the world can see it.

Whatever Wednesdays
Two weekends ago I took my old pup to go meet her cousins (my aunts pups) and a few others for a puppy play date. Lets just say it was fun and I think she needs some more interaction with them. Here is a fun little picture i just HAVE to share. Just to clarify Angel is the black pup, and if you can't tell.. shes 12, and thats her cousin Bumble (she doesn't seem to like him for the time being)
If you want to see more puppy photos you can visit my facebook page.

Pinterest fun!!
Recently I've found a love for making new things and while looking at fun things to make and I came across a way of making your kitchen smell like "fall time." In a pot I put orange peel and cinnamon along with water and boil, smells amazing! Gotta love that site. Wonder what I'll try next!
Here's my short film: One Wish
The Art Of Folding Paper . . . For Homework
I asked Kim at the beggining of the winter semester, if she could help me film a little project for my final project, in my multimedia production. I'm still a student, hoping to graduate with my bachelors next Winter or spring.
After so many Wednesdays being so busy, we finally got to film my short film. Last week when Kim and I went out to get coffee at our new favorite spot, I taught her how to make a paper crane with a page from an old book – don't worry no important books were harmed in the process. We're recycling.
I'm going through the final edits and should have it done before tomorrow – which is due tomorrow. I know, I'm a procrastinator.
Folding Paper Is Relaxing Today was more than just a Whatever Wednesday. Rifath and I went to Ferndale to enjoy some coffee from a new (because we didn't know it existed) coffee shop called The Red Hook. We also filmed some tidbits for her project. I learned a fun new skill, its called... origami! Also we both had our FIRST macaroon!!! Which is a bit sad for me since I have been to Paris. Yumyumyum!! Is all I can say. Rifath also had her first time enjoying food from a little place called Toast. I love it and let me just say, she does not like bananas.. but she said she liked the banana coffee! Now off to do some more photo editing and enjoy some SUPERNATURAL tonight!
Trying to get out of bed Monday morning
Yes.
I think I would get up quicker knowing that Hugh Jackman and Bradley Cooper were close by to catch me just in case.
Get Your Shit Together!: Shades
So I carry a pair of sunglasses and my prescription glasses (I use them driving at night, and in class) in my purse. I only had a little slip cover for my prescription glasses but nothing for my shades, they tend to get bent or even broken when I just leave them in my purse.
I found this heavy duty eyeglass case for $4.99. The interior is a soft velvety red cloth. It's a bit clunky, but I was so glad to find something that fits both of my glasses, I just have them sit in opposite ends, so the lenses don't get scratched.
I hate to admit this but sometimes as I'm driving and I might need my shades, it's usually just try to feel for them in my bag. I can never find them since they're always on the bottom of the bag. But now it's a lot easier when I searching for them. Booyah!!
Who Said Disney Is Just For Kids
I just watched this adorable Disney animated short. I know it might seem cheesy, but not only does Disney know how to bring out the child in every person, but they can play with every emotion and keep you guessing.
Get Your Shit Together!: Paper Organization
My series for trying to get my bag more organized, I had to figure out a better alternative to my planner.
I had this small binder where I designed and printed out my own planner. Which was great it worked well with my schedule, but the binder took up a big part of my bag. I wanted something that zipped up so that none of my business cards or papers would fall out.
All of the zippered planner holders that I found were too thick and bulky. When I came across this Betsey Johnson IPad cover (originally $50 – I got it for $19.99), I knew it would be perfect. It's the same dimensions as my moleskin sketchbook that I carry everywhere, but the sketchbook doesn't fit into the cover. Which is okay, but I know it will be a great size to fit into any of my big purses, but it doesn't take that much space.
I resized my planner pages and printed them out, and it fits all of my paper products. This deserves a fist pump! YEAH!
Oh Snap, Like A Baby's Butt!
I have had acne from a young age. I believe I was 11 years old, when I first began to break out. Believe me I have tried everything. I had so many different items I had to use from my dermatologist growing up. I felt like nothing worked, I slowly developed a bad habit of picking as well. Which with my tanned skin, the scars look like little bruises all over my face.
Right after I graduated high school my sister and I tried proactive. It really did work well, my skin cleared up. Then when we decided not to buy it anymore – my face went to hell. My problem areas were mostly my forehead and a little hear and there, on my chin or cheeks. But after proactive I broke out all over my face. Which developed in picking and a LOT more scarring.
Through the years I didn't do anything with my face. I just let it be, and with more stress came more acne, and with more acne came more stress. I didn't even wear makeup over it, because I just let go.
I came across the Acne.org site about a month ago I watched the video, even some customer review videos. The website is so educational, they sell there own items, or you can print out a product guide, of items you can purchase from any drug store. I thought, why not?!
I like that Dan (creator of the website) even made homemade youtube videos on how to use the products. I use the Aveeno clear complexion foaming cleanser – sometimes I'll use an Aveeno light scrub as well, or I use CeraVe, which is very similar to Cetaphil.
I have seen such a huge difference with my acne, I don't breakout very much. But now I just need to focus on getting rid of my scars. But I can live with that.
Have you had problems with acne? What's your regimen like?
