Small Biz Restructuring & Junk Collector Sale
Look at this lovely hand-embroidered tablecloth I found at a yard sale! It had a few stains so I dyed it. The finished result was blotchy (I should have taken photos...hindsight is 20/20) so I used some Dylon Pre-dye. This is what it looks like now, softly shaded tones of warm beige & gray. Now I'm pressing it. The best way to press hand embroidery or any irregular texture is with a bristled cloth or pad. I happened to find one of those at a yard sale too! Use like you would a press cloth. Eventually I'll post what I'm turning this tablecloth into. As promised, here are more wedding dress process photos. The first is little crochet accents for the bodice & skirt.
