4 am Goodbyes

It was four in the morning. You set up a perfect date for you and Yoongi. A homemade meal, wine, and a playlist you made for tonight. The lights are set to be dimmed but not too dark. The cold food disgusting by now. You in an outfit he bought but never worn. Saving it for a special night together. You were passed out at the table waiting for him. He blew you off again. Staying locked in his studio day after day. Night after night. You knew he worked a lot. You knew to expect hardships as it wasn’t a normal relationship.Dating an idol would never be a normal relationship. Especially in secret. You only asked to see him once in a while so you could spend time together before his tour. Yet he can’t even bother to make time for at least an hour to come eat with you. 

You woke up and stared at the clock on the stove. A tear streaming down your cheek. You just wanted one hour at minimum to see your boyfriend. Just one so you can see him before he leaves for months. You aren’t even worth it to him you think. More and more thoughts racing. Does he even love you anymore? Does he even want you? What did you do wrong to cause him to not want to even see you for a moment? More and more thoughts as you bury your head in your hands crying. The scented candles burnt out just as you are. Your soft heart tearing apart and wanting to harden. You don’t want to feel this pain.  An overactive imagination causing you to overthink everything. You know you should text or call him. What if you were right? Then what? You don't even get a chance to continue thinking as you hear a new sound. A door slowly scraping open.   

Yoongi stumbled in the door. He sees you as a crying disheveled mess surrounded by a long forgotten date night setup. His heart drops seeing all of the scene. You. The table. The soft music on loop. In this moment Min Yoongi fully realizes how badly he messed up. “Y/N let me explain.” he swallows his pride and clears his throat. “Shit please don’t cry. I’m here.” You cut him off,“ No you weren't. You said 6 pm. I had the room set up for us both. I had it set up for you Min yoongi.” Your voice was filled with hurt and raspy from sobbing. “Get out.” He looked shocked. “What?”He was surprised by what you were saying. “I said get out of my apartment. I need you to leave,” You paused for just a moment,“Please.” He didn’t say anything more as he walked out without looking back.
