I am crying. This is so good.

Like, I know @wilwheaton hates that line. I know why he hates that line.

But I never thought about what it would be like to not just not be told to be silent, what it would be like to be ENCOURAGED to speak.

I was a precocious kid. I read shit way beyond my comprehension. I had opinions with implications that I couldn't possibly have understood. I was encouraged by adults to read and take in information.

I was NOT encouraged to share my opinions on that information.

Good kids regurgitate, we don't question. And I definitely internalized some feelings about being told to listen and not talk.

I honestly owe @wilwheaton and @aishatyler enormous gratitude because a couple months ago when my life felt like a complete mess and I was at the height of my depression and I didn’t realize how bad my anxiety was affecting my daily life, I was on a long haul drive when I listened to Girl On Guy podcast #148. Somewhere in that 1 hour and 52 minutes of listening I felt a connection and decided to seek professional help for my sanity’s sake. Even though it’s been a rollercoaster of a battle with depression and anxiety and realizing that episode was actually from last year, I still feel like I owe them a big THANK YOU ❤️ for making realize what I needed to do. Now I journey my way through clarity and finding that balance in my life. So Aisha and Wil, keep doing what you’re doing because you both have certainly impacted my life 😊 I truly appreciate the work you both do. For anyone else suffering through depression and anxiety, there is help out there, you are not alone!
