I think if a tuvix situation happened on ds9 the funniest possible combination would be miles and garak thank you for your time.
There's a lot of good takes in the notes but for me I mostly imagine the security nightmare that involve Miles O'Brien's honesty and Garak's cheery loose lips clashing to reveal secrets of the Federation and Cardassia alike. I don't think he'd ever shut up. I also think Bashir would kill Milarak and not even regret it for a second.
Julian totally would - but I think Keiko would hit the button first. After everything she's been through with Miles, there's no way she's hesitating if this time there's a reasonably easy way to get her actual husband back.
(Especially if she'd been involved in the research for a cure, given the original one involved a flower, right? )
"guys in a spaceship" is really one of the genres of all time. like no way dude i wonder what they're gonna do in the spaceship this week
great things are happening in my notes app
currently thinking about how any time a member of the Voyager crew is kidnapped/missing, Janeway descends with either diplomacy or guns, but a near 100 percent success rate (RIP Hogan and Carey).
This is both out of the simple fact that Voyager can’t afford to lose too many people or it stops functioning, and also Kathryn Janeway has so much guilt that it’s basically walking with her in lockstep everywhere she goes - her albatross, her skeletons in the closet, her constant shadow? Just pick an analogy for inner darkness that appeals and you’ve got her guilt described. She HAS to get them home.
It may seem out of character, then, that any time a member of Voyager wants to leave Voyager voluntarily (See Kes, the Doctor, Neelix), once she gets past her initial stricken grief, she allows it every time. If Voyager can’t afford to lose too many bodies, she should theoretically refuse any attempt to leave with just as much gusto as she puts into rescue missions. Maybe you could skirt that with Kes and Neelix, but the Doctor was undeniably mission critical, and she WOULD have let him go if he hadn’t changed his mind.
Except that it’s perfectly in character because her guilt supersedes the minutiae of running a starship every time when it comes to her people. Every time. She knows full well that she trapped them there. She offers everyone chances to leave the ship (the 37s) or, at the very least, leave her behind (Night). She can’t fathom anyone wanting to stay trapped on her ship of the damned.
So even though she needs all hands, even though she would argue and reason and - depending on the person - plead, any person who genuinely wants to leave Voyager is going to get the patented “eyes full of unshed tears and a smile she doesn’t mean” look and her well wishes. because she’d rather ground the ship and disappear into the sunset like an old dog putting herself out to pasture than keep even one person trapped in a hell she views herself as making for them.
…this has been a ramble. but I think that the main point is that I really believe she’ll hold anyone and anything at gunpoint for the sake of her crew, even if that occasionally means pointing the barrel at her own wants and the ship’s needs.

the actual main difference between data and spock is that data is almost completely sincere the majority of the time meanwhile spock is mostly lying or being a bitch for fun
i don't know what the thing was about taking these fuckass 0.5x shots but they're so funny
female awesome meme -> [5/10] supporting - river tam (firefly)
“no power in the 'verse can stop me.”
some thoughts on the firefly musical episode i feel confident we would have gotten:
- mal and inara duet where they’re in different rooms (inara in her shuttle and mal in his quarters probably? or wandering about) both singing about how they’re so isolated and alone and it has to be that way and no one ESPECIALLY not the other can ever know or understand. it’s a little funny at first and them increasingly devastating
- river sings a cryptical riddle and then dances a beautiful but eerie ballet routine
- simon “i want” song full of stops and starts bc hehad a hard time admitting to actually wanting anything
- at some point book sings a spiritual song full of Hope Despite It All that inara does a melancholy reprise
- zoe and wash duet but it’s just them being cute and married
- jayne singing a song abt how he doesn’t sing
- i’m running out of ideas and would love to hear yours
how could i forget my girl kaylee she would love the musical ep!! i
think she’d get a “day in the life” esque solo as she works on serenity, a duet with simon (funny and awkward and sweet) (i’m a sucker for couples/LI duets don’t @ me) and i feel like she’d get a fair few of the random one off lines in group songs
the amount of time i spend on the “development of star trek 4” wikipedia page is sad
ds9 is an incredible show because there’ll be a devastating, thought provoking episode that’s still incredibly relevant to this day and the very next episode will ask the age old question “what if miles o’brien was hunted for sport”
you guys remember star trek. that shit was incredible or despicable depending đź’Ż
